Kiwanis Club of Hays
The Kiwanis Club of Hays is pleased to announce information about the annual veterans, military, active duty, reservists, and guardsmen appreciation lunch.
The event will be held on November 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hilton Garden Inn & Convention Center, 221 W. 43rd Street.
All veterans, active-duty military, reservists, and national guardsmen are invited to attend. Lunch will be free of charge and courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Hays.
Music will be provided by the Barbershop Quartet, and a special thank you video will be provided by students from Hays Middle School.
Some of Felten Elementary’s 5th graders will also be present to help serve the meal to our local heroes and honor them with thank you cards prepared by Holy Family Elementary students. The program will include patriotic music and a service photo presentation will be shared during the event.
To have your service photos included in the presentation or to RSVP for the event, please email info@hayskiwanis.com or call Sarah Wasinger at 785-650-2196 by October 30 and include your first and last name and military branch(es) served/currently serving. Caregivers are invited to attend the lunch.

Kiwanis Club of Hays was chartered on May 5, 1953. The club currently has over 80 members and meets weekly for lunch on Thursdays at noon at Breaks Eatery & Bar. All community members are welcome to attend meetings to learn more information about becoming a member. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
