Tickets are now on sale for our annual Women Who Lead Power of the Purse event.
This is a fundraising event for Women Who Lead, a nonprofit whose mission is to empower women to make a positive difference in their community.
The first Power of the Purse was in 2017 as a fundraiser for its umbrella organization, the United Way. Local businesses and friends were asked to donate a handbag for a purse raffle and auction.
Women Who Lead became its own 501(c)3 in September 2023. It is still conducting the annual Power of the Purse event to raise funds to support charitable gifts and projects in Ellis County.

This year's event won't have a guest speaker to give more time to the live and silent purse auctions.
The social hour will begin at 5 p.m., and the program will begin at 6 p.m.
Seating is limited, and tickets might sell out quickly. The deadline to purchase tickets is Feb. 27.
All seats for this year's event will be reserved. If you are attending this event with multiple people, Women Who Lead encourages you to purchase tickets together so you can be seated as a group.
Tickets are $50 each, or a table of eight for $400.
Your ticket will include a plated meal and two drink tickets.
Additional drinks will be available with a $5 donation to Women Who Lead.
