A kickoff event for “Rooted in Resilience,” brought to you by Kansas Farm Bureau’s Women’s Leadership Committee, will take place Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. at BriefSpace in Hays.
Michelle Holdemen, a mental health professional, will share myths commonly associated with therapy and mental health services, how to know when to seek therapy, the benefits of going to therapy, the obstacles that make it difficult to find a therapist in rural America and some solutions to these obstacles.
Grater Whey, a charcuterie service in Hays, will walk through how to assemble the perfect charcuterie board and understand the pairings of different meats and cheeses. Bring your drink of choice to sip on while you build your charcuterie board and relationships.
Attendees can join in person or virtually to hear from the mental health professional but must be in person to participate in the charcuterie board workshop. If you want to participate in the charcuterie workshop, the fee is $25.
There are three registration options for attendees:
- In-person: Build a charcuterie board and hear from a mental health professional, $25
- In-person: Hear from a mental health professional only, no charcuterie board, free
- Zoom: Hear from a mental health professional, free
