The Kansas Small Business Development Center is hosting workshops for women-owned small businesses on Aug. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sternberg Museum, 3000 Sternberg Drive, Hays.
The workshops are geared toward women and their partners who own or are interested in starting businesses, and for resource providers. Businesses are also welcome to bring their employees or encourage them to attend to gain valuable information.
Workshop topics include access to capital; certifications for Women-Owned Business Enterprise/Women-Owned Small Business (WBE/WOSB); branding for women-owned businesses; regional food businesses; high growth opportunities; and networking opportunities.
“We are excited about offering this opportunity in Hays,” said Laurie Pieper, assistant state director of Kansas SBDC. “This is a chance for participants to learn about issues, needs, and opportunities specifically for women-owned businesses and to share information, connections, and enthusiasm for supporting women-owned small businesses to create strong pathways for success.”
The registration fee to attend any or all the day’s workshops is $10.
