The Hays High girls make their 7th appearance at the Colby Orange & Black Classic this week. The Indians won their first trip to the tournament in 2019 but haven't placed higher than 3rd since.
#8 Hays(9-0) is playing Goodland(7-3) team that just fell out of the 3A rankings. The Cowgirls have beaten the Indians the last three times the two met up in the Colby Orange & Black. The losses include a first round defeat in 2021, and semifinal losses in 2022 and 2023.
Winner of this game takes on the winner of #1-4A Wellington or Concordia at 3:00 Friday.
Tip-off is set for 6:30 p.m. on the Hays High Sports Network.
