It's time to start trying out your recipes to get ready for the food entries in the <a href="https://www.ellisco.net/681/Ellis-County-Fair">2026 Ellis County Fair</a> special food classes.

On this episode of the Hays Post Podcast, Becky Kiser, news reporter, talks with Monique Koerner, Cottonwood Extension District Family and Consumer Wellness agent, about the King Arthur Flour category and another class celebrating the area's German heritage in baked goods.&nbsp;

Youth and adults may enter the competitions.&nbsp;

They will also discuss the new "Breastfeeding Welcome Here" designation for the Cottonwood Extension offices in Hays and Great Bend.&nbsp;
