After an outstanding career at Hays High School, senior Gavin Meyers announced Wednesday he has committed to play football at Kansas State.
Meyers, who was also a standout wrestler — claiming his first state championship last weekend — was named to this year's Kansas Shrine Bowl and was a first-team all-state selection by the Kansas coaches.
He finished his senior season with 124 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, three sacks and an interception. Meyers was named to the 5A All State defensive team as a linebacker.
