ELLIS — Congratulations to Ellis High School and Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science senior, Gus Peine, who won the Leader of Tomorrow Dane G. Hansen Scholarship. 

Peine plans to study at either Fort Hays State University or Kansas State University and major in engineering.

The Hansen Foundation awarded seven scholarships for 2026 Leader of Tomorrow winners. These awards are for $10,000 and may be renewed for three additional years provided the student has maintained a satisfactory academic record.&nbsp;&nbsp;
