K-State Extension coyote program scheduled for Barton County

GREAT BEND — On October 11, K-State Research and Extension will be hosting a program by Wildlife Specialist Drew Ricketts starting at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at Cheyenne Bottoms Wetlands Center located at 592 NE K 156 Hwy, Great Bend.  

During his program, he will discuss coyote biology, helping people to better understand their movements, vocalizations, and diet among other topics. He will also discuss tips and methods on trapping and calling coyotes including the proper use of mouth and electronic calls.

A light meal will be served and is sponsored by P & S Electric of Great Bend. Space is limited to 70 people.
