Starting Wednesday, Sept. 18, &nbsp;M&amp;D Excavating will begin waterline work on W. 12th&nbsp;Street just east of Ash Street in Hays.

 Work is only expected to last one week. 

Cones and barricades will be placed to divert traffic when necessary. It is recommended that residents avoid the area if possible. &nbsp;

Any residents affected by this project will be notified by the contractor for any interruption of services.&nbsp;

Waterline work on W. 12th east of Ash Street starts Wednesday in Hays
