The Ellis County Landfill is announcing that the Construction &amp; Demolition pit, tree pile, rubble pile, and dirt pile at the landfill will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, due to muddy conditions. These materials will not be accepted in the transfer station for dumping.

Municipal waste will remain open and there is no dumping after 4:45 p.m.

We will re-evaluate conditions on the morning of October 1.

Portions of Ellis County Landfill closed Wednesday due to rain
