Ellis resident reappointed to state board

State of Kansas

Governor Laura Kelly has announced three appointments and four reappointments to the following state boards and commissions.

KANSASWORKS State Board

Purpose: To oversee and coordinate all employment and training programs and activities and to become a worldclass workforce development/employment system. The Board provides information to the Governor, Legislature, public and private agencies, and the public on matters pertaining to employment and training programs, services, and facilities.

  1. Hector Martinez, Garden City

Kansas Board of Examiners in Fitting and Dispensing of Hearing Instruments

Purpose: To regulate the licensing of examiners and market of hearing aids.

  1. Erica Mears, Wichita (reappointment)
  2. Tim Stanton, Ellis (reappointment)

Board of Agricultural Remediation

Purpose: To administer the Kansas Agricultural Remediation Fund and the remediation reimbursement program.

  1. Tatum Couture, Wamego
  2. Jami Loecker, Manhattan (chairperson)
  3. Jodi Guetterman, Bucyrus (reappointment)

Information Technology Executive Council

Purpose: To provide direction and coordination for the application of the state’s information technology resources.

  1. Lynn Retz, Topeka (reappointment)
