COLBY — This year's Spring Art Walk hosted by the Colby Community College art department will be set up throughout the college campus on Friday, April 21, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Artwork will also be displayed at Jonas Gallery and Donelan Jewelry on Franklin Avenue in downtown Colby.
The show features original works by professional artists and students from CCC and area K-12 public and private schools. Art will span the quad and hang in adjacent buildings around the center of campus. Many pieces are available for purchase.
"Ruth Ellen Lynch and her band are set to play jazz music all evening by the clock tower," said CCC art instructor Rebel Mahieu."People should bring a chair and blanket so they can stay for a while and listen."
Additional highlights include a maze, food vendors, caricature drawings, an aluminum pour demonstration, face painting, and other activities.
