BUNKER HILL – The Finnup Foundation has awarded Smoky Hills PBS with a grant for $20,000 to support the educational programming on Smoky Hills PBS.
Michael Quade, director of broadcasting for Smoky Hills PBS stated, “At a time where educational programming is so vital to the kids in our viewing area, the support of the Finnup Foundation has never been more important! The Finnup Foundation has been a long-time supporter of Smoky Hills PBS and their support has not only ensured kids are learning while on screens, but has provided educational programming for FREE to those children that may not have educational resources available to them. We want to thank them for ensuring that quality, educational resources are broadcast and available to EVERYONE within our viewing area!”
The Finnup Foundation Trust was established in 1977 by siblings Frederick Finnup and Isabel Finnup, who carried on the legacy of generosity that was modeled by their father, George Finnup, and their grandfather, Frederick Finnup. The Finnup family’s interest in families, youth, education and conservation are expressed through the gifts to many organizations in the community.
