Gross Coliseum voted No. 1 arena in Division II

Fort Hays State's Gross Coliseum has been voted the nation's No.1 Division II arena.

Normally T3 Bracketology would have been predicting NCAA brackets using various metrics, but with no tournament, the website had a little fun and made their own brackets for best arenas in the country.

Through Twitter, the website set up brackets for what they determined to be the 16 best arenas in NCAA Division I, II and III as well as junior college.

Gross Coliseum beat out Bellarmine's (Ky.) Knight's Hall in the Sweet 16 then edged Emporia State's White Auditorium 53%-47% in the quarterfinals.

In the semifinals, fans voted 81%-19% in favor of GMC over Southwestern Oklahoma State's Pioneer Cellular Event Center.

The finals pitted the Coliseum against Drury's O'Reilly Family Event Center which it defeated by a landslide.

KU's Allen Fieldhouse was named the best Division I arena.
