Because of the COVID-19 virus situation, the local mail carriers will not be doing their annual food drive, so Eagle Radio of Hays decided to help out.
In association with the Schmidt Foundation and The Bank of Hays, the Community Assistance Center is having a cash drive to replenish the shelves in their food pantry. Through April 22, all money collected by the Community Assistance Center will be matched by the Schmidt Foundation and The Bank of Hays up to $5,000 each.
That’s $10,000 in matching funds.
Mail or drop off a check or cash donation by the Community Assistance Center, 208 East 12th in Hays. The staff is there until noon each day Monday through Friday.
