BUNKER HILL — Smoky Hills PBS proudly announces the return of The Kansas Legislature, premiering Friday, February 7, 2025 at 7 p.m.

This live, interactive program serves as a vital platform for Kansas residents to engage directly with their state legislators, fostering insightful discussions on key legislative issues.

Airing live on Smoky Hills PBS, the program also offers a call-in segment, allowing viewers to ask questions and voice their concerns in real-time. Additionally, the show will be streamed live on the Smoky Hills PBS YouTube channel, ensuring accessibility for audiences across Kansas at http://bit.ly/StreamSmokyHillsPBS

“The Kansas Legislature is an essential resource for staying informed on policies that impact our communities,” said Les Kinderknecht, Smoky Hills PBS senior producer/director. “This program not only keeps Kansans updated on legislative matters but also encourages civic participation by providing direct access to lawmakers.”

Smoky Hills PBS is also inviting Kansas classrooms to submit questions for legislators. This initiative aims to engage students in the legislative process and promote civic education. Educators and students can send their questions to [email protected].

Becky Kiser, news reporter for Hays Post/Eagle Radio, has been named the moderator for the 2025 season of The Kansas Legislature. Two or three legislators will join her during each show.
