Spirit Week (September 28-October 3)
Monday: No School – Teacher Inservice
Tuesday: Class Color Day
Seniors – Black; Juniors – Red; Sophomores – Blue; Freshman – Yellow; 8th Grade – White; 7th Grade – Grey; Teachers – Orange
***Fall Athletes will eat with Grade School Students
Wednesday: Generation Shuffle Day
Seniors – Senior Citizens
Juniors – Adults
Sophomores – Children/Toddlers
Freshman – Babies
Jr. High and Teachers – Can pick and choose
Thursday: Tee-ny White Lies Day
Wear a white t-shirt with a white lie written on it about yourself. Example: “I love to speak in front of crowds,” when you really dislike doing that
Bonfire
Date/Time: Thursday, October 1 at 7:50 p.m.
Location: South of Ellis High School
Meeting Place: 7:40 p.m. - Cheer Squad and student body meet at tennis courts.
Friday: School Spirit Day – Wear Black and Orange
Friday Schedule (High School Students)
10:00 a.m. – High School Students dismiss to take class pictures in front of the high school
10:15 a.m. – HS students go to commons area for activities.
11:25 a.m.– Jr. High dismissed to eat lunch
11:50 a.m. – STUCO BBQ
12:20 p.m. – Students leave for North Campus
12:30 p.m. – Powder Puff Football (Games 10 minutes in length)
Game 1: Juniors vs. Sophomores
Game 2: Seniors vs. Freshmen
Game 3: Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 2
1:00 p.m. – Staff vs. students in volleyball
1:30 p.m. – Students dismissed
Friday Schedule (All Students)
1:30 p.m. – Parade Line-up at the North Campus
1:55 p.m. – JH students released (ride the buses to the North Campus or Memorial Park)
2:15 p.m. – Parade begins
2:45 p.m. – Pep rally at Memorial Park
3:15 p.m. – JH students need to return to EHS; will load the bus at Memorial Park
5:00 p.m. – Homecoming BBQ sponsored by Booster Club
6:30 p.m. – Crowning Ceremony
7:00 p.m. – Football game vs Victoria (All individuals 65 and older get into the game free.)
Parade Route
The parade will leave North Campus (Old High School), go east on 10th Street to Dorrance Street. They will turn south on Dorrance Street and continue to 13th Street. They will turn east on 13th Street and continue to Washington Street (Washington Grade School). They will turn north on Washington Street and continue to 8th Street (Bukovina Society). They will turn west on 8th Street to Jefferson Street and then turn south on Jefferson Street (Post Office). They will continue south through 9th Street to the lot west of Memorial Park. The parade will end there.
