The TMP-Marian Monarchs open regional play Friday afternoon at home against either the Oberlin Red Devils or the Ell-Saline Cardinals.
The Monarchs (21-5, 6-0 MCL) earned the top overall seed at their own 2-1A regional and earned a first-round home game Friday.
They will take on the will of the 3 p.m. play-in game between No. 8 Oberlin (0-16) and No. 9 Ell-Saline (0-18).
The Monarchs' first pitch is set for 5 p.m. on the Monarchs Sports Network.
