Help for individuals who’ve had a brain injury offered at Hays seminar

For individuals who have had a brain injury, moving forward can be very difficult.

On Sat., Sept. 23, the Brain Injury Association of Kansas will present a seminar for brain injury survivors, their family members and healthcare professionals. The event will be held at Ft. Hays State University, Memorial Union Black and Gold Room 208, 600 Park St. Hays, KS 67601, 9 a.m.-2:45 p.m.

The seminar will focus on fostering a sense of community and connection among individuals who’ve had a brain injury, family members, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, and will feature separate tracks for healthcare professionals and survivors/family members. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The conference will provide continuing education credits for RNs, social workers, physical therapists and occupational therapists.
