GriefShare, a local grief support group, will begin its next 13-week session at a new location. The group will meet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. starting Thursday, Aug. 20, at Ellis Estates, 1203 E. 33rd.
Individuals going through the grieving process because of the death of a spouse, family member, or friend are invited to attend.
There are three components to the group—a weekly video, discussion, and journaling and personal study in a workbook. The workbook costs $25, but financial assistance is available. Each session is self-contained, organizers said, so individuals may join at any time.
“GriefShare is a network of 15,000+ churches worldwide. The program is nondenominational and features biblical concepts for healing from your grief,” a flyer said. More information about the group is available at www.griefshare.org.
Locally, GriefShare is sponsored by North Oak Community Church. For more information or to sign up, call the church office at (785) 628-8887.
