LA CROSSE — An American Red Cross blood drive will be held Friday, Aug. 23 in the La Crosse city auditorium, 417 Main, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

"The blood shortage is at an extremely critical level," said Gary Schmidt, drive coordinator.
