The Hays High Indians open the 2023-24 season Thursday against the TMP-Marian Monarchs in the opening round of the 41st annual Gerald Mitchell Hays City Shootout.
The Indian girls finished 14-8 a season ago. TMP was 15-8. The Monarchs have won four straight against Hays High.
The Hays High boys finished 13-9 last season and take on a TMP team that was 22-4 last season.
Tipoff of the girls game is set for 6:30 p.m. with the boys to follow at Hays High School. Live coverage includes The Hays High Sports Network and Eagle Radio.
