Phase 3 of the second season of the North Vine Street Corridor Project begins this week, weather permitting.
During this phase, traffic on Vine Street in the area from 35th Street to 43rd Street will be shifted to the west side of Vine Street on the new pavement so that work can begin on the east side. Like previous phases of construction, left turns are not allowed in areas of construction where traffic is reduced to a single lane. Only right turns will be allowed to and from the I-70 ramps and various intersections. The currently posted detours will direct traffic through the construction zones.
Southbound Vine to eastbound I-70; as well as, eastbound I-70 to northbound Vine is being detoured to use the 32nd Street roundabout. Northbound Vine Street to westbound I-70; as well as, westbound I-70 to southbound Vine is detoured to use 41st Street, General Hays Road and 43rd Street. This phase of construction is expected to last several months through the summer.
