The Ellis County Public Works Road and Bridge Division is announcing that an&nbsp;asphalt overlay project on Rome Road will take place beginning in the 1300 block&nbsp;of Rome Road.

&nbsp;This area between 220th Avenue and 230th Avenue will be closed&nbsp;to through traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday and will remain&nbsp;closed until the project is completed.&nbsp;The estimated completion date is&nbsp;Wednesday, June 23rd, pending weather conditions.

&nbsp;Motorists traveling in the&nbsp;affected closure area should use alternate routes of travel until the project is&nbsp;completed.
