The very first Blessing Box was installed in front of the Ellis Alliance at 820 Washington St. in Ellis during the weekend and is now up and ready for use.

The Alliance was able to bring the project to fruition with grant funding from Midwest Energy and by hiring Dillon Kinderknecht of DK Builders to build and install the box that will house shelf-stable food items and hygiene products available 24/7 at no cost to anyone needing the items.

The box will be run and operated on a "take what you need, leave what you can" philosophy with the Alliance overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the box.
