After starting the season unranked, the Hays High boys have taken over the top spot in this week’s 5A Kansas Basketball Coaches Rankings.
The Indians were ranked third in the final rankings before the holiday break and enter this week at 8-0.
The TMP-Marian girls have won six in-a-row and enter the 3A girls rankings at No. 9. They are 7-1 entering Tuesday’s Mid-continent League tournament game against Smith Center.
The Phillipsburg girls are ranked fourth again this week.
The Trego girls suffered their only loss to the Panthers last week and drop one spot to No. 5 in the 2A girls rankings.
The Ellis boys dropped three spots after losing to TMP last week to No. 10 in the 2A boys rankings. Hoxie continues to hold down the top spot.
