Beginning on Tuesday, contractors will be upgrading the signal light equipment and wiring for the intersections of 27th and Hall streets and Eighth and Elm streets.
Throughout the project, the signal lights may be intermittently flashing red, indicating a four-way stop, or even turned off completely. Under these scenarios, the intersection may be controlled with temporary stop signs at some or all legs of the intersection.
Drivers are asked to use extra caution when approaching and entering the intersections.
Avoid these areas, if possible, as travel delays can be expected.
Repairs are expected to be completed on or before the end of the day on Friday.
The city of Hays regrets any inconvenience this may cause to the public. If there are any questions, call the Public Works Department at 785-628-7350.
