BUNKER HILL – Malinda Walker, Smoky Hills PBS membership director, has announced her retirement from Smoky Hills PBS at the end of July. Walker has been with Smoky Hills PBS 28 years, serving as the Membership Director since 1992.
“Malinda has made a huge impact within the communities we serve in central and western Kansas,” said Michael Quade, Smoky Hills PBS interim general manager, “She has not just brought members to our station but turned those members into friends. That’s what she has done throughout her impressive 28-year career, left a strong legacy, and her kindness and smile that our members turned to throughout the years is going to be greatly missed!”
“I have been blessed to be able to work for Smoky Hills PBS for the past 28 years where I have built some of the most memorable relationships,” said Walker. “I want to thank the Smoky Hills PBS members, volunteers, staff, and board for giving me the opportunity to serve them for almost three decades.”
Walker added that she is looking forward to doing a little traveling and enjoying her grandkids during her retirement.
