The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin work on a pair of bridge repair projects along Interstate 70 in Russell County the week of April 26.

Crews will be repairing the westbound bridges located between mile markers 196 and 200 near Dorrance. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction zones with a decreased speed limit of 60 mph. Minor delays not exceeding 5 minutes should be anticipated. KDOT expects work to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.

Wildcat Construction of Wichita is the primary contractor for the projects with a total contract cost of approximately $429,000. For more information, contact KDOT area construction engineer Nick Rogers at 785-625-9718 or [email protected].
