We are a group of students at Fort Hays State University working on a community service project for our Leadership 310 class. Through our fundraiser, "Paws for a Cause," we are raising money to support the Humane Society of the High Plains and the animals in its are.

Our goa is to help provide necessary resources such as food, shelter, veterinary treatments, mediations and other essential care for animals in need. We hope our efforts will help ease some of the financial burdens the Humane Society faces while giving these animals a better chance at finding loving homes.

As part of our fundraising efforts, we are hosting a Pong Tournament and Raffle on Friday, Nov. 6 at LoKal, 109 W. Seventh St., Hays. We are reaching out to local businesses and organizations to ask for their support through monetary donations or donated items, gift cards or services that can be included in our raffle. All proceeds from our fundraising efforts will go toward supporting the Humane Society of the High Plains.

To show our appreciation, we will recognize our sponsors at our Oct. 17 tailgate event and again at our Nov. 6 tourney. We will display a list of contributing businesses at both events, giving our sponsors an opportunity to receive recognition within the community while supporting a great cause.

Any contribution, big or small, would be greatly appreciated.

Your generosity will help us reach our fundraising goals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals wo depend on the Humane Society for care and support.

Thank yo for your time and consideration. We truly appreciate the support of businesses and community members who make projects like this possible.
