The city of Larned is hoping generous supporters will help it bring back a beloved tradition that has brought joy to many residents over the years.
The City of Larned's water tower holds a special place in the hearts of its residents for its brilliant light display during the Christmas season. City officials recently launched a capital campaign on GoFundMe to aid in the restoration of this beloved tradition and raise enough to restore the lighting display and complete a full LED upgrade.
"Many had the pleasure of growing up with this Larned tradition and we hope to give that same opportunity to current and future generations," a news release said.
Close to $23,000 has been raised in online and offline donations through the GoFundMe page so far.
