Preaching will be the Rev. Delvin Strecker of Salina. Strecker’s family immigrated to the Barton County area of Kansas from the Lutheran area along the Volga River in Russia.

Strecker grew up speaking the Volga German dialect, but he later learned to speak High German and was a high school German teacher until he retired and went to seminary.

At the service, Galen Schmidtberger and Russell and Nicole Feyerherm will be readers in the German language. Trinity Pastor Brenda Roger said the service will be printed in both German and English.

The worship service will include Holy Communion and a time to share stories and reminisce. A potluck meal will follow the service. The community is invited.
