HAYS – The TMP girls' golf team claimed the top spot in
their own tournament Monday at Smokey Hill Country Club, edging Concordia by
one shot. 

Jenna Brull paced four Monarchs who finished inside the top
15 with a third-place finish, firing a 92.

Brynn Schoepf finished 7th with a 103. Emma
Wasinger fired a 111 and tied for 12th. Ava Schumacher finished tied
for 15th with a 117 and Blakely Seib tied for 25th with a
123.

Rawlins County’s Amelia Bowels and Concordia’s Mya Niehues
finished tied for 1st with a 79.

The Monarchs finished with 423 as a team. Concordia was
second with 424, and Larned was third with 432.

TMP travels to the Cheney 3-1A regional on Tuesday.

🎾Hays finishes tied for 2nd at WAC 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Patrick Mahomes threw for a bunch of yards. Travis Kelce caught a whole lot of his passes. And Kareem Hunt plowed into the end zone once again, sending a torrent of red fireworks flying over Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night.

It might as well have been six years ago, the last time that trio of Chiefs played in a home game together.

But with injuries having ravaged their offense, the Chiefs were forced to lean on two of their stalwarts and the return of their erstwhile star running back to beat the Saints, 26-13. Mahomes finished with 331 yards through the air, Kelce had a game-high nine catches for 70 yards, and Hunt ran 27 times for 102 yards and a touchdown.

“It was a great feeling to get back in the end zone. I missed it very much,” said Hunt, who only returned to the Chiefs a couple of weeks ago, after an injury to starter Isiah Pacheco. “That's why I threw up a heart. To show my love for Kansas City.”

There was a lot of love flowing inside Arrowhead Stadium.

Just as the Chiefs were moving to 5-0 behind another defensive gem, the Royals were beating the Yankees in Game 2 of their AL Division Series in New York. There were frequent chants of “Let's go Royals!” throughout the game, and when&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/mlb-playoffs-yankees-royals-973e1a65ef5ba6bede4b849f3329d924">the Royals finished off a 4-2 victory</a>&nbsp;to send the series back to Kansas City tied at a game apiece, a roar ripped through Arrowhead.

“There was kind of a lull there toward the end of the game, and I was like, ‘They’re not showing the score. The Yankees came back,'” said Mahomes, who owns a part of the Royals. “But they picked it up and got the win, and it was extremely exciting.”

The Chiefs held Saints quarterback Derek Carr to 185 yards passing with two touchdowns and an interception before leaving with an oblique injury. It occurred with about 9 1/2 minutes left, when Carr was hit by blitzing defensive back Chamarri Conner on a fourth-down incompletion as he tried to rally New Orleans from a 23-13 deficit.

“I couldn’t do what I needed to do in the simplest form," said Carr, who plans to get an MRI exam on Tuesday.

The Saints' Alvin Kamara managed 26 yards rushing on 11 carries, becoming the latest high-profile running back to struggle against the Chiefs. They held the Ravens' Derrick Henry to 46 yards rushing, Zack Moss of the Bengals to 34, Falcons star Bijan Robinson to 31 and J.K. Dobbins to 32 in last week's win over the Chargers.

“We got outplayed,” Saints coach Dennis Allen said. "We really couldn't get a whole lot going on either side of the ball.”

The first half Monday night featured a bit of everything: Hunt's first TD since returning to Kansas City, where his once-promising career was&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/chiefs-kansas-city-kareem-hunt-e02c86492982355676e0be2548b95914">derailed by an off-the-field incident</a>; a 43-yard touchdown pass from Carr to Rashid Shaheed, the shortest of the three Shaheed has caught this season; and yet another lateral by Kelce, which came on the most bizarre of drives.

The Chiefs were leading 10-7 when a fumbled pitch and a holding penalty left them facing second-and-34. They got some of it back on a pass to JuJu Smith-Schuster, and then Mahomes hit Kelce over the middle. Kelce lateraled to Samaje Perine, who got within a yard of a first down, and Kansas City converted the fourth-and-short play to set up an eventual field goal.

It was exactly that — field goals — that kept New Orleans in the game, though. The Chiefs have struggled to score TDs in the red zone all season, and they were forced to let Harrison Butker kick a trio of chip shots to lead 16-7 at the break.

Their red-zone woes continued in the third quarter. On second-and-goal, Smith-Schuster had a pass bounce off his hands at the goal line and into the arms of 324-pound former Chiefs defensive tackle Khalen Saunders, who made his first career interception.

The Saints promptly marched 65 yards with Foster Moreau's TD catch getting them within 16-13 with 14:16 to play.

But unlike every other game for the Chiefs, which had been decided in the final minutes — if not the final play — they answered the blow by delivering one of their own. Smith-Schuster hauled in a 50-yard pass moments later, and Xavier Worthy took a handoff on first-and-goal at the 3 for a touchdown that extended their cushion early in the fourth quarter.

After the Chiefs stopped the Saints on fourth down, they tacked on another field goal with 3:03 left to put away the game.

"It’s pretty cool to get the band back together,” said Smith-Schuster, who is also back with the Chiefs after a couple of years spent in New England. “Man, I’m telling you, there is no place like this. What we have here is special. It’s unreal.”

🏈 Mahomes throws for 331 yards, Derek Carr hurt as Chiefs shut down Saints 

NEW YORK (AP) — Salvador Perez homered leading off the fourth inning to spark a four-run rally against Carlos Rodón, and the Kansas City Royals beat the New York Yankees 4-2 on Monday night to even their AL Division Series at one game apiece.

Four relievers held New York in check after an inconsistent&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/mlb-playoffs-ragans-royals-yankees-central-park-42adddaee4675c8a204b14873548dd2a">Cole Ragans lasted four innings.</a>&nbsp;Tommy Pham, Garrett Hampson and Maikel Garcia singled in runs for the Royals.

Garcia, moved up from ninth to first in Kansas City's batting order, had four hits.

Game 3 in the best-of-five playoff is Wednesday night at Kansas City, the Royals’ first postseason home game since the 2015 World Series.

“It’s basically like a brand-new series when we get to the K,” Ragans said, referring to Kauffman Stadium.

Yankees slugger&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/mlb-playoffs-yankees-royals-judge-rodon-db7f25b5abe73eba553ee18d1974b14f">Aaron Judge went 1 for 3 with an infield single and is 1 for 7 with four strikeouts</a>&nbsp;in the series. Kansas City star Bobby Witt Jr., expected to finish second to Judge in AL MVP voting, was 0 for 5 with three strikeouts, dropping to 0 for 10 in the series.

All four Division Series opened 1-1 for the first time since the round started in 1995.

Giancarlo Stanton put the Yankees ahead with an RBI single in the third, but New York went 1 for 6 with runners in scoring position and is 3 for 19 in the two games.

“They were making their pitches when they needed to,” Judge said. “We've got to come through in those situations to kind of break it open.”

Ragans allowed just the one run and three hits, striking out five and walking four. Winning pitcher Angel Zerpa and John Schreiber each followed with a hitless inning before Kris Bubic threw two scoreless innings. Lucas Erceg worked the ninth for his third save this postseason.

Erceg gave up a leadoff homer to Jazz Chisholm Jr. and a two-out single to Jon Berti but retired Gleyber Torres on a grounder to end it with slugger Juan Soto on deck. Chisholm's homer was the first off Erceg since June 12, when he was still pitching for Oakland.

Perez, at 34 the only remaining Royals player from their 2015 championship team, tied the score when he drove a 2-0 slider into the left-field seats. The nine-time All-Star entered 12 for 26 (.462) with three homers off Rodón, an old AL Central rival when he pitched for the Chicago White Sox.

“He falls behind him, and from there started making some mistakes with his secondary (pitches) just in the heart of the plate," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said.

Yuli Gurriel singled, advanced on a wild pitch and scored on Pham’s one-out single for a 2-1 lead, prompting cheers from NFL fans at the Kansas City Chiefs' home game against New Orleans at Arrowhead Stadium. Pham stole second and scored on a two-out single by Hampson.

Garcia greeted Ian Hamilton with an RBI single that put the Royals ahead 4-1.

Rodón, lined up to pitch a potential Game 5, gave up four runs and seven hits in 3 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts and no walks. Twenty-four of the 32 home runs he has allowed this season have been solo shots.

“Obviously, I want to be better than that — especially how the first three innings went,” Rodón said. “I wouldn’t say I tired out. Just got to be better with those pitches, just more fine with them and get to better spots.”

Yankees: LHP Nestor Cortes (left flexor strain) took a step forward when he played catch Sunday, Boone said.

Yankees RHP Clarke Schmidt (5-5, 2.85 ERA) makes his first postseason start Wednesday. He was 0-2 with an 11.75 ERA in three relief appearances during the 2022 playoffs.

Seth Lugo (16-9, 3.00) is scheduled to start for the Royals. He struck out 10 over seven innings of three-hit ball in a 5-0 win at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 10.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State linebacker Makel Williams was named the MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week on Monday following the 31-21 win over No. 12 ranked Central Missouri this past weekend.

Williams led the Tiger defense with 14 tackles and one pass break up in the 31-21 win over nationally ranked Central Missouri. His 14 tackles were a new career high for him at FHSU. It was the third time this season he recorded double figures in tackles for a game. Williams currently leads the MIAA in total tackles with 53, averaging 8.8 per game.

Williams joins Jaylen Cottrell of Central Oklahoma (Offensive Athlete of the Week) and Noah Guastella of Northwest Missouri State (Special Teams Athlete of the Week) as the weekly honorees from the conference office for October 7, 2024.

🏈 FHSU's Makel Williams named MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week

WACO, Texas – Fort Hays State Football returned to the receiving votes list of the AFCA Top 25 Poll released on Monday, October 7. With the 31-21 win over then No. 12 ranked Central Missouri this past week, the Tigers knocked the Mules from the Top 25 to the receiving votes list as well. FHSU currently owns an overall record of 4-2.

With Central Missouri dropping to the receiving votes list, the MIAA now has three schools listed in the Top 25. Pittsburg State leads the group, ranked No. 7, followed by Central Oklahoma at No. 13 and Emporia State at No. 18. Fort Hays State, Central Missouri, and Northwest Missouri State are all among the receiving votes list.

Fort Hays State plays host to Washburn University this weekend in Hays. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 12) at Lewis Field Stadium.

DENVER (AP) — Pat Surtain II picked off a pair of passes and his&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/BetMGM/status/1843032231235006975">100-yard interception return</a>&nbsp;for a touchdown powered the Denver Broncos past the injury-riddled Las Vegas Raiders 34-18 on Sunday, snapping an eight-game losing streak in the storied AFC West series.

Rookie Bo Nix had a breakout day with a pair of touchdown passes after coming into the game with just one. He also ran for a score as Denver scored 34 unanswered points after falling behind 10-0 in the first quarter.

Completing passes to a franchise-record 11 players, Nix finished 19 of 27 for 206 yards, two TDs and no interceptions as the Broncos (3-2) secured their first win over the Raiders (2-3) since Dec. 29, 2019, a confounding dry spell given how evenly matched the teams have been over the last several seasons.

First-year starter&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/denver-broncos-moss-surtain-d8a6bf85e91eb470b50f246a19256ea9">Riley Moss</a>&nbsp;also intercepted Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew, his first career interception coming one week after his first career fumble recovery and two weeks after the first forced fumble of his two-year career.

He was replaced by former starter Aidan O'Connell with 1:31 left in the third quarter with Las Vegas trailing 20-10. Minshew, who was missing superstar&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/davante-adams-raiders-4bdb509fe0e8e3ecb493765f4aa9f3c0">Davante Adams</a>&nbsp;(ankle) for the second straight week, finished 12 of 17 for 137 yards with one touchdown, two inteceptions and a pair of sacks after completing his first nine passes for 115 yards.

His 10th went 100 yards in the other direction as the Broncos erased their early double-digit deficit on their way to a big win on a day they honored their first Super Bowl team of 1977.

Surtain intercepted O'Connell's first pass of his second series, giving Nix the ball back at the Las Vegas 39 shortly after his 1-yard keeper made it 27-10, and he promptly hit Josh Reynolds for a 9-yard score.

O'Connell went 10 of 20 for 94 yards and an interception.

Overall, the Raiders ran for just 5 yards in the second half. They had 110 by halftime.

Before kickoff, Randy Gradishar was honored as the first member of the famed “Orange Crush” defense to get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Two of his teammates, Steve Foley and Riley Odoms, were inducted into the team’s Ring of Fame at halftime as the signage, field (with block letters and no midfield logo) and stadium music were all reminiscent of the 1970s.

So was Denver's stout defense, which throttled the Raiders after some early hiccups.

The Raiders' offense may have a harder time breaking out of its funk as&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/davante-adams-raiders-4bdb509fe0e8e3ecb493765f4aa9f3c0">Adams this week made it clear he'd rather play for another organization</a>.

The Broncos took a 13-10 halftime lead when Wil Lutz kicked a second-chance 44-yard field goal with no time left. He was wide left from 59 yards but Raiders defensive end Janarius Robinson was whistled for a 15-yard personal foul for leaping over the snapper.

The Raiders scored on&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/NFL/status/1843020663470313566">Brock Bowers' 57-yard touchdown catch</a>&nbsp;and Daniel Carlson's 40-yard field goal and were threatening to take a 17-3 lead when Minshew rolled to his left on first-and-goal from the 5 and had Bowers open.

His throw sailed over Bowers' head and Surtain, who was covering Jakobi Meyers, cradled the ball at his own goal line and took off down the Denver sideline. The only Raider who had a chance to prevent the turnaround touchdown was Minshew, but he was bowled over by rookie linebacker Jonah Ellis 35 yards downfield and Surtain trotted into the end zone with the ball held high.

Surtain's 100-yard TD return was the second-longest in team history behind only Aqib Talib's 103-yarder against Dallas in 2017.

Raiders DE Maxx Crosby played despite a sprained ankle and had two sacks. DT Christian Wilkins also got a sack but he sat out the second half with a foot injury. ... Broncos RB Tyler Badie (back) was placed on IR over the weekend. ... C Matt Wattenberg left in the fourth quarter with an unspecified injury. ... TE Greg Dulcich was a healthy scratch. And RT Alex Palczewski (ankle) was replaced by Matt Peart in the second half. Palczewski has been starting in place of Mike McGlinchey (knee).

HAYS, Kan. – For the fifth time in the last nine meetings between the schools, Fort Hays State and Emporia State played to a draw on Sunday afternoon at the FHSU Soccer Stadium. The Tigers scored in the first half and Emporia State countered in the second half to create the 1-1 result. FHSU moved to 5-2-3 overall and 2-1-1 in MIAA play. ESU moved to 3-3-2 overall and 1-1-1 in MIAA play.

Fort Hays State scored its goal on a failed clearance by the Emporia State goalkeeper.&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-soccer/roster/allison-worley/8102">Allison Worley</a>&nbsp;cut in front of a ball struck by the keeper and had a wide-open net to score on in the 7th&nbsp;minute of action. Just over two minutes into the second half, Emporia State picked up the equalizer on a header in the box by Hadlie Lowe off an assist by Sade Lee.

Fort Hays State had several offensive opportunities late that went just off target, including a look in the final seconds that just went wide of the goal. TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Sam Leavitt threw four touchdowns passes, including&nbsp;<a href="https://twitter.com/ASUFootball/status/1842776268573446194">a 3-yard strike to Jordyn Tyson with 16 seconds left</a>, and Arizona State rallied for a thrilling 35-31 victory over Kansas on Saturday night.

The Sun Devils (4-1, 1-1 Big 12) outlasted the Jayhawks in a back-and-forth game that featured six lead changes in the second half. Cam Skattebo ran for a team-high 186 yards, including a crucial 39-yard dash on the game-winning drive.

“Good job by our guys just executing,” Sun Devils coach Kenny Dillingham said. “That was it. We just played the next play. We didn't get rattled. We just responded.”

Leavitt completed 14 of 24 passes for 157 yards. His consistent play helped the Sun Devils bounce back from their first loss of the season, a 30-22 setback to Texas Tech on Sept. 21.

“It was just back to what we do,” Leavitt said. “The last game we played wasn't our brand of football, so we got back to that.”

Kansas (1-5, 0-3) has lost five straight, including four by a touchdown or less. Jalon Daniels threw for a season-high 260 yards and two touchdowns. Devin Neal ran for 71 yards and a touchdown.

The teams battled each other along with some record-setting heat in front of a sellout crowd of 54,639 on Saturday. The temperature at kickoff was 107 degrees, which set the mark for the hottest October game in Tempe dating back to 2000.

The Jayhawks didn't seem fazed by the heat, pushing ahead 31-28 with 2:04 left when Daniels hit Quentin Skinner for his second touchdown catch of the night, this one on a diving completion that went for 34 yards.

But the Jayhawks couldn't close it out, allowing the Sun Devils to drive eight plays for 75 yards in less than two minutes.

“At the end of the day, our job is to stop the offense,” Kansas defensive end Dean Miller said. “Unfortunately, we came up short. We've got to do better as a team and as a unit.”

Leavitt capped the decisive drive by floating the 3-yard touchdown pass to Tyson, who had slipped past a defender. It was Tyson's second touchdown catch of the night and a proud moment for the sophomore, who missed all of last season with a knee injury.

Kansas took a 24-17 lead with 10:49 left in the game when Neal made a nifty cut before running untouched for the 31-yard touchdown.

🏈 Leavitt throws 4 TDs to lift Arizona State past Kansas

HAYS, Kan. – Caleb Heavner passed for 302 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 97 yards and a score in his first collegiate start and 0Fort Hays State defeated No. 12 Central Missouri 31-21 in front of a homecoming crowd of 7,125 Saturday night at Lewis Field.

The Tigers (3-2, 2-1 MIAA) scored on their first possession on a 1-yard touchdown run from Shane Watts that capped a nine-play, 53-yard drive. FHSU had an 18-yard pass from Heavner to Watts and a 14-yard run by Heavner to help set up the score.

Central Missouri tied the game on a 36-yard touchdown pass from reigning Harlon Hill Trophy winner Zach Zebrowski to C'ing Blanton on fourth down. The Tigers responded on their next possession, marching 75 yards in five plays. Heavner had a key 31-yard run and a 36-yard pass to Jabari Lewis. After neither team scored in the third quarter, FHSU added a career-long 46-yard field goal from from Carson Arndt to push the lead to 24-7.

Central Missouri closed the gap to 10 points with a 75-yard touchdown pass from Zebrowski to Zach Patterson on the Mules first play from scrimmage on their next possession. The Tigers answered with a 7-play, 65-yard touchdown drive which was capped by a Heavner 38-yard scramble to push the score to 31-14.

The Mules added a final touchdown with just over a minute to go, but the Tigers recovered the ensuing onside kick and ran out the clock for the victory.

Fort Hays State improved to 4-1 at home against Central Missouri teams that are ranked in the FCA Top 25 and run their winning streak over ranked Mules team at home to four-straight.. It's Fort Hays State's first Homecoming win over a ranked team since 2021 when they knocked off Nebraska-Kearney, also ranked No. 12 at the time.

The crowd of 7,135 fans was the largest since Homecoming in 2018 when 7,140 attended a shutout win over Central Oklahoma.

NEW YORK (AP) — Alex Verdugo hit a tiebreaking single in the seventh inning and saved at least one run with a sliding catch along the left-field line, boosting the New York Yankees over the Kansas City Royals 6-5 on Saturday night in their AL Division Series opener.

New York’s Gleyber Torres and Kansas City’s MJ Melendez hit two-run homers in a back-and-forth game in which the Royals wasted leads of 1-0, 3-2 and 5-4 and the Yankees failed to hold 2-1 and 4-3 margins. It was the first postseason game with five lead changes, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Kansas City pitchers tied their season high with eight walks, forcing in a pair of runs in the fifth inning. The Yankees were just 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position before Verdugo lined a single off loser Michael Lorenzen.

Verdugo’s hit scored Jazz Chisholm Jr., who singled leading off and stole second on a play allowed to stand following a video review. Yankees manager Aaron Boone started Verdugo in left over rookie Jasson Domínguez in a defense-influenced decision. Verdugo entered the game in a 2-for-34 skid at the plate

OAKLEY - Hays High defeated each of the five teams they faced in the Oakley Tournament on Saturday. The Indians won each match in two sets.

Hays opened the day with a win over Hitchcock County (NE). They then defeated Ulysses for a second time this season.&nbsp;

Wins over Tri=Plains-Brewster, host Oakley, and then Cheylin finished off the day.

HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State volleyball team dropped a battle against Missouri Western Saturday afternoon inside Gross Memorial Coliseum, falling 22-25, 23-25, 25-15, 24-26. The Tigers (9-4, 1-3 MIAA) tallied more points than the Griffons (12-3, 3-1 MIAA) and outhit their opponent, .229-.215, in the loss.

The teams battled back-and-forth to start set one, with neither team leading by more than three points until the Griffons scored five in a row to take a 22-17 lead. Fort Hays State later scored four in a row to close within one, 23-22, before the visitors finished off the win.

The second set was just as close, featuring 10 ties and five lead changes. The score margin remained at or below two for the bulk of the frame until a 5-0 Tiger run put the home team in front, 19-15.&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-volleyball/roster/claire-olson/7947">Claire Olson</a>&nbsp;opened the run with a kill and later teamed up with&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-volleyball/roster/ashlyn-reeves/7949">Ashlyn Reeves</a>&nbsp;for a block. The sophomore middle hitter then tallied back-to-back kills, pushing the lead to four. Missouri Western battled back to tie the score at 21 and later sealed the 25-23 win with a kill.

Fort Hays State proceeded to dominate the third set, posting an incredible .520 attack percentage with 14 kills and just one error on 25 attempts. Olson and&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-volleyball/roster/gracie-rains/7948">Gracie Rains</a>&nbsp;each had four kills in the set, with&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-volleyball/roster/caiya-stucky/7954">Caiya Stucky</a>&nbsp;adding three. The front line of defense was equally as impressive, totaling five blocks during the 25-15 blowout win.

The fourth set was another close call, with neither side leading by more than four points throughout the set. MWSU scored three in a row to take its largest lead at 15-11 before the Tigers battled back to tie things up at 17 on a combo block from Reeves and&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-volleyball/roster/grace-schmedding/8180">Grace Schmedding</a>. Fort Hays State would tie the score three more times down the stretch, including at 23-23 and 24-24 before the Griffons managed consecutive points to complete the win.

Rains led all players with 18 kills, with Olson adding 14 kills and five assisted blocks. Schmedding racked up 20 digs alongside seven kills, two blocks and one service ace. Stucky dished out 46 assists, two off her season high, while adding four kills, four blocks (one solo) and one service ace. Reeves posted six kills and seven blocks (one solo).

The Tigers' homestand will continue Tuesday when they host No. 3 Nebraska-Kearney beginning at 6 p.m.&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp;Five different Tigers found the back including two from Mario Leal Vales and the&nbsp;No. 21 Fort Hays State men's soccer team cruised to a commanding 6-1 victory over Great American Conference opponent Northeastern State Saturday afternoon at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.. 

With the win, the Tigers improved to 4-3-1 overall and secured their first conference victory of the season, now 1-2 in GAC play. The RiverHawks dropped to 2-5-3 overall and 2-2 in GAC play.

That would be the only ball to get past Tiger goalkeeper&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/wouter-van-der-borch/8367">Wouter Van der Borch</a>, as the defense locked down and held the RiverHawks without a shot for the rest of the first half.Fort Hays responded quickly to equalize when&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/jeremiah-johnson/8553">Jeremiah Johnson's</a>&nbsp;cross found the head of Leal Vales for the first Tiger goal. From there, the FHSU seized control of the match, dominating possession.
