James Raymond “Mick” McVey, 98, died February 23, 2022, in Lindsborg, 
Kansas. He was born May 14, 1923, to James Oliver and Anna Elizabeth 
(Raymond) McVey, on the family farm at the north edge of Hill City. He 
grew up with his sisters: Pat, Mary Doris and Helen. He attended grade 
school and high school in Hill City, graduating in 1941. 
 Following graduation, he began his college career at Fort Hays 
College, joining the United States Army, November 19, 1942. Once at Camp
 Roler near Sacramento, California, he was trained as a high-speed radio
 operator. This job required the operators to communicate by sending and
 receiving five letter code groups. Mick was attached to GHQ, which was 
General McArthur’s Headquarters, to monitor communications of airplanes,
 ships, companies of Army and Marines.
 Stationed in the Pacific, Mick was involved in the radio operations 
at Milne Bay, New Guinea, near Australia, and then north to Hollandia, 
New Guinea for several months. His 60th Battalion then participated in 
the landing on Samoa, then on to Luzon where he was stationed until the 
Japanese surrendered. Mick was awarded the Bronze Star. He returned to 
the United States where he was discharged, January, 1946. 
 Mick returned to his studies at Fort Hays and graduated with a 
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, and a Master’s Degree in Education. 
During his college years, he also renewed his pilot’s license.
 Mick met Mary Anne Lewis at a dance. This chance meeting led to 65 
years together. The two of them taught school in communities in western
 Kansas for the next nine years. Wanting to settle in one place and 
raise a family, they built a home in Hill City. They owned and operated 
Lewis Oil Stations in Hill City and Palco and later bought two more in 
Damar and Plainville. The couple adopted two children, Betty and Mike. 
As the children grew up they spent leisurely days at the Webster lake 
cabin with boating and swimming, and of course many gun shows. After the
 children were grown, Mick and Mary Anne traveled to Mexico, the 
Bahamas, Hawaii, Spain and Italy. 
 Having a deep love for God and a strong foundation of faith, Mick 
and Mary Anne were supporting members of the Presbyterian Church and 
attending every Sunday.
 Preceding Mick in death were his parents; his wife, Mary Anne; his 
son, Mike McVey and two sisters: Mary Doris and Helen. Leaving to mourn 
his passing are his sister Pat McVey; daughter, Betty Humphrey, of 
Pagosa Springs, Colorado; grandchildren: Whitney (Clint) Spitler, of 
Lindsborg, Javil (Lindsey) Hansen of Salina, Kiaya (Jeremiah) Flaugh, 
and Chanlor (Brian) Ray, all of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; six great 
grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Donald W. Lamb, 89, died Tuesday March 1, 2022, at St. Catherine Hospital
 in Garden City, Kansas. He was born December 30, 1932, at Ellinwood, 
Kansas, the son of Arlie L. and Bonnie (Chuculate) Lamb. 
Donald grew up in Ellinwood where he attended school and spent a lot of 
time in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, on the Cherokee Reservation with his 
grandmother. After graduation Donald enlisted in the United States Navy.
 On August 3, 1964, Donald married Deloris J. “Sweetie” Lamb at Garden 
City, Kansas. 
Don began his career in the oilfields working overseas, and the later 
part of it working all over Southwest Kansas where he was known as “The 
oldest oil pumper in the world” by his colleagues. Don was a member of 
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Eagle’s Lodge. 
His life revolved around his family, dancing, music, sporting events, 
ice cream, telling jokes, and making his regular trips to U-Pump-It to 
get his iced tea. 
He is survived by 4 Sons- Curtis (Dee) Lamb, Kip (Tracy) Lamb, Garrett 
(Hayley Frazier) Lamb, and Colin (Winsom) Lamb all of Garden City, 2 
Daughters- Twila Briscoe of Garden City and Arlee (Vincent) Ramos of

Kelsey Renay (Ammons) Hogan, 40, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.&nbsp; Her battle with cancer is over.&nbsp; Her forever home is built and she is with the Lord.

Kelsey was born August 25, 1981, in Wichita, Kansas.&nbsp; She was the daughter of Rodney Lee and Jan Renee (Mettlen) Ammons.&nbsp; She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School.&nbsp; She then attended Brown Mackie College in Salina and completed studies in Criminal Justice.&nbsp;

Kelsey was working for Options in Hays as a Domestic Abuse Counselor and was an Assistance Director.&nbsp; She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Russell.&nbsp; Her spare time was spent with her children and family.

Kelsey’s surviving family include her three daughters, Ella Hogan, Harper Hogan and Tallulah Hogan; parents, Rod and Jan Ammons of Lucas, Kansas; brother, Tyler Ammons (Jodie) of Alma, Kansas; sisters, Jenna Dorris (Jed) of Eaton, Colorado and Lyndie Worley (Josh) of Osborne, Kansas.

Kelsey was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Jerry Martin Molner, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022,&nbsp; at the Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado. He was born on April 
1, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, to John Martin and Matilda Ruth McLean
 Molner. He worked for the county taking care of the landfill. He 
attended the Christ Covenant Church in Leoti, Kansas.

Survivors include his siblings; Rickie &amp; Tandi Molner of Garden 
City, Kansas, Linda Molner of Newport News, Virgina, Lloyd Molner of 
Jacksonville, Florida, Birdie Molner &amp; Rocky Williams of Leoti, 
Kansas, Faye Molner of Scott City, Kansas, and Carol Ann Valadez &amp; 
Doug Bell of Leoti, Kansas, an aunt, Eunice McLean of El Chino, 
California, cousins; John Molner of El Chino,California, Stan Molner of 
El Chino, California,Terry Molner, of California, Eddie McLean of Leoti,
 Kansas, Gary &amp; Sharon Hammons, and one nephew, Michael Hillstead of
 Garden City, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother - Harry Molner,

Ronald D. “Ron” McGuire, 54, passed away on March 2, 2022, at Clara 
Barton Hospital, Hoisington, Kansas. He was born on January 9, 1968, at 
Larned, Kansas, to William &amp; Mary Anne (Augustine) McGuire. On 
December 12, 2012, Ron married Sarah Howe in Great Bend, Kansas.

Ron spent over a decade in California but was otherwise a long-time 
area resident. He enjoyed fishing, his collections including 
knick-knacks and wolf memorabilia, cooking, and his beloved Pomeranians 
and Chihuahua.

Ron is survived by his wife of the home; a sister, Connie (Jose) 
Montelongo of Hoisington, Kansas; a brother, John McGuire of Hoisington,
 Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 
his parents; and two brothers, William, Jr. and Michael McGuire.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A private 
family service will be held at a later date.

Jordan Michael Levingston, 27, passed away March 3, 2022, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born on September 8, 1994, to William Boe &amp; Cindi (Munsch) Levingston.

A lifetime Great Bend resident, Jordan was a cook at Freddy's whom he considered family and loved. He was an avid gamer and loved KU and the Kansas City Chiefs. Jordan enjoyed talking about politics, rap music and loved to take road trips.

Survivors include, his parents Boe and Cindi Levingston of the home, a twin brother, Austin Levingston a sister, Allison Levingston both of Great Bend; a step brother, Jason Levingston; a step sister, Robin Wetig (Jamie) of Wichita; his grandmother, Sharon Munsch of Great Bend; and four nephews and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, LeRoy Munsch and William C. and Bonnie Levingston.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home, with family to receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Murphy presiding. Melvin Joseph “Mel” Basgall, 79, La Crosse, Kansas, passed away 
Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.

Mel was born November 5, 1942, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Bruno and 
Angela (Sanders) Basgall. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County, 
Kansas. A 1960 graduate of Victoria High School, Kansas, Mel 
furthered his education receiving an Associate of Applied Science Degree
 from Barton County Community College, Great Bend, and his 
Master’s Degree in Psychology from Fort Hays State University.&nbsp; Mel was a drug and alcohol counselor for CKF Addiction 
Treatment in Salina, then Smoky Hill Foundation for Chemical 
Dependency Inc., Hays, before his retirement.

He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, La Crosse, Kansas; and the ISIS Shrine, Salina.

He was a United States Air Force veteran.

On March 3, 1973, he married Jametta Peters at the United Methodist Church, La Crosse.&nbsp;

Survivors include:&nbsp; his wife, Jametta Basgall, La Crosse, Kansas; his
 children, Todd&nbsp; Basgall, La Crosse, Kansas, Tonya Basgall, La Crosse, 
Kansas, Cory Morgan, Great Bend, Kansas, Mike Basgall, Oregon, and Brad 
Basgall, Texas; nine grandchildren, Jamie Basgall, Jerrod Morgan 
(Carrie), Jeremy Morgan (Amanda), Amanda Beard (Logan), Kaitlyn Hunter, 
Alexis Morgan, Kolin Basgall, Adria Morgan, and C J Morgan; five great 
grandchildren, Brantley Morgan, Blaze Morgan, Rylie Morgan, Jo Ann 
Beard, and Avori Morgan; and two sisters, Norma Basgall (Steve), Las 
Vegas, Nevada, and Kay Guffey (John), McPherson, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kevin Basgall; one 
daughter, Leslie Morgan; one great grandson, Michael Morgan; and one

Jolene “Jodie” Case went to her heavenly home on January 31, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.&nbsp; Jodie was born on January 13, 1951, to Duane and Betty Turner in Beloit, Kansas. Jodie graduated with the class of 1969 in Cawker City, Kansas. She met the love of her life, David Case and they were married in November 1969.&nbsp; Their union was blessed with a son, Duane Case.&nbsp; Jodie enjoyed her time at Vickers where she was employed for 18 years. Jodie loved tending to her beautiful flowers and yard.&nbsp; She had such a love for animals, especially her pal, Bella Grace and cat, Baby. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandmother, Hazel Gilmore; brothers, Johnnie and Vernon; sister, Deb DePoy; mother-in-law, Ann Dean; brother-in-law, Bruce Case; and nephews, Christian Hammond and William Case.&nbsp; She is survived by her husband, Dave of the home; son, Duane (Stephanie); grandson, Keegan Case; sisters, Judy (Dale) Goheen, Becky (Ron) Attwood, Nancy (Mark) Bowles, Kim (Rob) Williams; brothers, Ron (Carol) Young, Randy Turner, Rick and Rodney Casey, sister-in-law, Veronica Grisham and several nieces and nephews.

Janelle Quinones, 69, died on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Shepherd’s 
Center in Cimarron. She was born on November 5, 1952, at Hays, the 
daughter of Roy &amp; Novela (McDaniel) Burd. She married Pedro “Pete” 
Quinones on June 22, 1978, at Raton, New Mexico. 
Janelle attended Pierceville High School. She worked at Monfort and 
Con-Agri Beef Plants, was office manager for Pete’s Sprinkler Repair and
 became a longtime Cashier at Walmart. She enjoyed fishing, camping, 
her pets, making tie blankets and most of all being a Grandmother and 
friend to her family. 
She is survived by her Son- Waylon Quinones of Pierceville, Daughter- 
Leyla Daley of Cimarron and 3 Grandchildren= Damien Quinones, Katie 
Jones and Jacob Daley. She was preceded in death by her Parents, 
Brother- Lawrence Jones and Sister- Joyce Burd. 
Graveside Service will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Pierceville Cemetery in 
Pierceville with Rev Bob Bates officiating. Friends may call from 2:00

high school he joined the Navy in 1968. John was a very active person. 
He loved to run, bike, canoe, and take long walks. He also liked 
flowers and a good hot cup of coffee.
 John is survived by wife Donna Otis of Oberlin, KS; son: Brandon 
(Jennifer) Otis of Wichita, KS; daughter: Jaime (David) Rhoades of 
Lawton, OK; stepchildren: Tina (Gary) Meitl of Dresden, KS, Rhonda 
(Kenneth) Cox of Sioux Falls, SD, and Galen Stacey of Manhattan, KS;

Bonnie Lou Thompson

Marilyn Louise Pruitt, longtime Goodland resident, age 74, of 
Hobart, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at Integris 
Canadian Valley Hospital in Yukon, Oklahoma.&nbsp;

Marilyn was born July 24, 1947, to Arthur S. and Evelyn D. (Snelling) 
Johnson in Goodland.&nbsp;She&nbsp;was the youngest of 2 children from this 
union.&nbsp;&nbsp;She grew up on a farm south of Kanorado with her parents and 
sister Ruthie. She went to school and graduated from Kanorado High 
School in May of&nbsp;1965.&nbsp; On August 24, 1964, she married Robert C. Pruitt 
at the Letha Fogo House in Goodland.&nbsp; They made their home&nbsp;south 
of&nbsp;Ruleton, where she and her husband Bob, worked for a farmer. From 
this union 3&nbsp;girls were born&nbsp;Cathy, Amy and Betty Ann.&nbsp;Ruthie passed 
away leaving Marilyn an only child for many years.&nbsp;She acquired 2 
sisters and a brother when her father remarried Bernadine (Bateman) 
Johnson. Art adopted Linda and Tina, and later Michael Johnson. Then she
 was the oldest sibling.

Marilyn was a homemaker and farmwife&nbsp;and considered by many to be a 
master quilter.&nbsp;In the early years of their marriage Marilyn worked at 
as a waitress in Kanorado and Burlington at different restaurants. She 
then drove truck for sugar beet harvest and wheat harvest. She would 
disc and sweep all the summer fallow fields when the girls were all in 
school&nbsp;but was always home when the schiol bus came and had supper on 
the table when Bob got home. In later years, she was able to keep in 
contact with the girls through a CB radio. Her CB handle was Cacctus 
Flower. She was a member of the Burlington CB club for many years.&nbsp;She 
also helped with changing irrigation water mornings and evenings every 
day when the wells were running. There were no sprinklers and circles in
 those days, everything was done with flood irrigation pipe and 
irrigation socks. In her spare time she painted quilt blocks with Cameo 
paints for more than 10 years.&nbsp;Later in life, after her husband passed 
away, she would go to the San Luis valley in Colorado during fall 
harvest to drive a&nbsp;truck for potato harvest.

Marilyn moved to Hobart Oklahoma 9 years ago to be closer to Betty 
and her family. She helped watch Kacey and Ed when&nbsp;they were younger. 
The milder winter climate there agreed with her so she moved there and 
only came home to Goodland mostly during the summer months.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Goodland and a 
member of the Quilters Club.&nbsp; Among&nbsp;her many life’s passions, hand 
quilting and cross stitch quilt blocks were at the top of the list. She 
went quilting 5, sometimes 6 days a week here in Goodland at the United 
Methodist Church and later at the United Methodist Church in Altus, 
Oklahoma. She&nbsp;also enjoyed&nbsp;making quilts and giving them away to family,
 friends, and donated several to local veterans. She made every kind of 
quilt known. There were hand embroidered baby quilts that are already 
stamped with a pattern and needed to be embroidered, printed 
block&nbsp;quilts you cut and sew back together, cutting and piecing even the
 most complicated patterns with pieces as small as 1 inch like 
the&nbsp;bargello&nbsp;quilt that can be made with scraps or themed fabric.&nbsp;She 
made lots of clothes for the girls when they were little and continued 
sewing everything from barbie doll clothes to&nbsp;&nbsp;full summer wardrobes. 
She also enjoyed gardening and preserving vegetables. She grew a huge 
garden that she canned everything possible from to eat during the cold 
winter months. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and 
friends&nbsp;and playing pinochle.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Marilyn would like to let you know that her work here is done. She 
received a call, the sort of offer you&nbsp;can't refuse, for a job from 
which she will not be returning. This opportunity comes with a huge 
sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a 
very long time. Her new position takes her to a wonderful place where 
she will be socializing,&nbsp;gardening, canning, and quilting to her heart's
 content. Music, love, and laughter are guaranteed. The food is 
delicious and you never gain an ounce. She left detailed instructions 
for her family and friends to celebrate her life here, which has now

Marilyn Louise Pruitt

Juanita (Richards) Andregg, 87, of Hoxie, Kansas went home to be with 
her loving Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Juanita was 
born September 28, 1934, on a farm North of Studley, Kansas to Ben and 
Nellie (Rogers) Richards. Juanita was the youngest of three children.

Juanita attended Elementary School in rural Sheridan County and 
graduated from Sheridan Community High School in 1952. She married 
Jackie “Jack” Lee Andregg in Hoxie, at the Presbyterian Church January 
9, 1951. Jack was a music teacher, and they lived in many communities 
before moving to Hoxie in 1980 where they continued to live for the rest
 of their lives. Juanita and Jack raised their granddaughter, Michelle, 
who was like a daughter to them.
 After moving to Hoxie, Juanita worked at the Sheridan County 
Hospital as a lab and x-ray technician for 28 years. She was a hard 
worker and loved her job. When Juanita was not working, she loved to 
sew, crochet, cook, garden, and bake, but most of all spend time with 
family. Juanita loved to go fishing, hearing Jack sing, especially Ava 
Maria, and dancing with Jack. Juanita was somewhat of a prankster, she 
loved playing little tricks on people. 
 Juanita was a member of the Hoxie Christian Church and enjoyed 
going to Sunday School. She was a faithful member and attended Church 
regularly until her health was not good. She was a true prayer warrior, 
as prayer was extremely important in her life. People described Juanita 
as kind, and sweet, with lots of love to share. She always had a candy 
jar that she would expect you to take a treat from each time you would 
visit. She was generous with all she had, and would give anything to 
someone she saw or thought needed it more than her.
 Juanita leaves to mourn her loss, her granddaughter, Michelle 
Carpenter and husband Scott of Plainville; Great-grandchildren, Brianna 
Andregg-Mclaughlin and husband Zack of Ellis, Kansas, Alex Carpenter and
 Addilyn Carpenter of Plainville, great-great granddaughter, Lynlee 
McLaughlin and daughter, Janet Leigh Andregg.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Andregg; parents, Ben
 and Nellie Richards, sister’s, Marge Hilburn and Peggy Allen; and great
 grandchild, Hayden Carpenter.
 A funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 4 ,2022, 10:30 A.M. at the Hoxie Christian Church. 
 Interment will immediately follow the service. Visitation will be 
held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the 
Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home with family will be greeting friends from

Juanita (Richards) Andregg

David Lee Tammen, 65, passed away March 1, 2022, at Harry Hynes 
Hospice in Wichita. He was born on May 3, 1956, at Larned, to Charles 
&amp; Jaunis (Bose) Tammen. He married Lynn Muth on February 14, 2013, 
in Great Bend.

A lifetime Albert and Great Bend area resident, David was a farmer 
and in the past several years has worked as delivery specialist for 
Harper Camperland. He also was previously employed at the Hutchinson 
Correctional Facility and Larned State Hospital. He was a member of 
Peace Lutheran Church in Albert where he served as a Deacon and usher, 
as well as the Kansas Sidewinders Motorcycle Club. David loved riding 
his motorcycle and taking trips but his true passion was farming.

Survivors include his wife and companion since January 2009, Lynn 
Tammen of the home; a son, Michael Lee Tammen of Great Bend; two step 
daughters, Liston Marsh and husband Calvin of Glendale, Ariz. and Amber 
Maneth of Westminster, Colo.; and five grandchildren, Hailey Tammen, 
Riley Tammen, Dominic Marsh, Liberty Marsh and Deklin Marsh. He was 
preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mathew Aldrich Tammen; a 
daughter, Melissa Renee Tammen; a brother, Darren D. Tammen; and a 
sister, Mona G. Stos.

The family will greet friends at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022, 
at the Kansas Sidewinders Motorcycle Clubhouse, 21 N Main St., 
Ellinwood, Kan. 67526. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. 
Friday, March 4, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church, South of Albert with 
Reverend Wayne Baldyga and Chuck Carpenter presiding. A Private Family 
Inurnment will be in the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.

David Lee Tammen

Patricia Allen, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully, in the 
hospital, with her daughter and daughter's husband by her side, due to 
complications of emergency surgery. A Celebration of Life open house 
will take place in the afternoon on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at her 
daughter's home in Englewood, Colorado. More details will be 
communicated prior to her celebration. Pat was born in Hays, Kansas,&nbsp; to John and Josephine Grabbe on January 14, 1939. While growing up on 
her family's farm and being heavily involved with 4-H, she discovered her
 passion for fashion, sewing, cooking, interior design, and 
entertaining. Pat won many prestigious 4H and Who's Who state-wide 
awards for her leadership in many areas of accomplishment. Pat moved to 
Denver, Colorado, to start a modeling career and while attending modeling
 classes she landed a job as the secretary to the Vice President of 
Exploration, Land, and Development of Chevron Oil, Western division. She
 married William Allen, an IBM Systems Engineer, on March 7, 1964. Bill 
was transferred to Chicago, Illinois in 1969, and in 1972, their 
daughter Julie was born. Pat, Bill, and Julie moved back to Colorado in 
1977 but moved to the suburbs in Englewood.

Pat started her own home 
accessory business "Brass and Copper Etc." and also dove into the 
interior design industry. Pat was the sales director for the Colorado 
Garden and Home Show, Sales manager for the Rocky Mountain Electronics 
Expo, and assisted and managed various on-site new home sales 
communities. Pat's only daughter Julie, gave birth to her twin 
granddaughters, Mackenzie and Madison in 2007. Pat left home sales and 
worked part-time for International Villa and took care of her 
granddaughters 2 days a week until she retired in 2012. Since 
retirement, Pat kept herself busy spending as much quality time with her
 loving granddaughters "the twins" and the rest of her friends and 
family. Friends and family of Pat will remember her kind, caring, 
graceful, and loving light that made everyone feel special, valued, and 
loved. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Pat is 
survived by her daughter, Julie Williams, Julie's husband Matthew 
Williams, and their twin 14-year-old daughters, Mackenzie and Madison, 
Englewood, Colorado, her brother Paul Grabbe, (Hays, KS), her sister, 
Rosemarie Fischer (Washington, MO), and her nieces and nephews.

her family's farm and being heavily involved with 4-H, she discovered her
 passion for fashion, sewing, cooking, interior design, and 
entertaining. Pat won many prestigious 4H and Who's Who state-wide 
awards for her leadership in many areas of accomplishment. Pat moved to 
Denver, Colorado, to start a modeling career and while attending modeling
 classes she landed a job as the secretary to the Vice President of 
Exploration, Land, and Development of Chevron Oil, Western division. She
 married William Allen, an IBM Systems Engineer, on March 7, 1964. Bill 
was transferred to Chicago, Illinois in 1969, and in 1972, their 
daughter Julie was born. Pat, Bill, and Julie moved back to Colorado in 
1977 but moved to the suburbs in Englewood. Pat started her own home 
accessory business "Brass and Copper Etc." and also dove into the 
interior design industry. Pat was the sales director for the Colorado 
Garden and Home Show, Sales manager for the Rocky Mountain Electronics 
Expo, and assisted and managed various on-site new home sales 
communities. Pat's only daughter Julie, gave birth to her twin 
granddaughters, Mackenzie and Madison in 2007. Pat left home sales and 
worked part-time for International Villa and took care of her 
granddaughters 2 days a week until she retired in 2012. Since 
retirement, Pat kept herself busy spending as much quality time with her
 loving granddaughters "the twins" and the rest of her friends and 
family. Friends and family of Pat will remember her kind, caring, 
graceful, and loving light that made everyone feel special, valued, and 
loved. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her. Pat is 
survived by her daughter, Julie Williams, Julie's husband Matthew 
Williams, and their twin 14-year-old daughters, Mackenzie and Madison, 
Englewood, Colorado, her brother Paul Grabbe, (Hays, KS), her sister, 
Rosemarie Fischer (Washington, MO), and her nieces and nephews.

Carole Koletzky, age 79, of Yankton, S.D., passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022, at her home.&nbsp;

Carole was born September 10, 1942, in Coggon, Iowa. She attended 
school in Browning, Montana, and later returned to Yankton and graduated 
from Yankton High School. Carole graduated from the University of South 
Dakota with a degree in Medical Technology and was employed at the Human
 Services Center as a supervisor of the laboratory until her retirement. &nbsp; Carole married Robert Koletzky, January 21, 1961, after eloping in Pipestone, Minnesota. &nbsp; Carole
 loved the outdoors and yard work. She was proud of her home, which she 
filled with plants and greenery. She enjoyed watching football and golf 
on TV. In retirement, after vigorous training, she completed a half 
marathon. Carole was a meticulous housekeeper and enjoyed cooking for 
her family. Her family always looked forward to her delicious meals. She
 was an avid reader with a thirst for knowledge and was always ready for
 a good debate. Carole’s grandchildren thought of her as the smartest 
person they knew. In her retirement, she continued to embrace computer 
technology and was always researching a new topic. &nbsp; Carole is 
survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Koletzky of Yankton; daughter, 
Terri Lenser and fiancé, Ed Harbin, of Hays, Kansas; son, Jae Koletzky 
and his wife, Tina of Yankton; grandchildren, Jennifer Howard and 
husband, Clayton, of Ellis, Kansas; Ian and Alex Lenser of Hays, Kansas,
 Chloe, Carson and Camryn Koletzky, all of Yankton; three 
great-grandchildren, Claire, Cash and Collin Howard, all of Ellis, 
Kansas, and two brothers, Rawson Behel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Doug 
Dunek of Des Moines, Iowa. &nbsp; She is preceded in death by her parents, Barney “B. J.” and Mary Ellen Hattman and her brother, Alan Behel. &nbsp; A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will be near the family farm, 42843 310th St., Tabor, SD. &nbsp; In

Carole Koletzky

Robert “Bob” Eugene Wagg, 94, of Falls City, NE, peacefully went to 
his eternal home February 26, 2022, in Kansas City. He was born November,
 24, 1927, at his home in Trego County, Kansas, to John and Lydia (Glass) 
Wagg.

Bob was born and raised on the family farm in Trego County, KS. Bob 
lost his father when he was 8 years old.&nbsp; He graduated from Ellis High 
School in 1945. Later he worked the family farm and drove a supply truck
 for the oil fields. Bob was united in marriage to Doris A. Armbruster 
on March 19, 1954, in Ellis, KS. The couple returned to the family farm 
and to their union they had 6 children. Bob drove a fuel truck for 
Schreiners in Ogallah, KS. The family moved to Ogallah to a home with 
running water and indoor toilets. Bob had a career with the Ogallah 
CO-OP where he delivered gas, worked the service station and the grain 
elevator. The family moved to Hoxie, KS, where he continued his career 
with the CO-OP, in Rexford, KS. In 1990 Bob retired and moved to Falls 
City, NE. He spent the 32 years of retirement doing what he did best – 
working. He worked with his daughter Judy Herbster and her husband 
Charles W. on the Carico family farm.

On the farm, Bob performed numerous jobs, but his favorite part, of 
his daily tasks, was watering cattle and building, fixing and 
maintaining the electric fences. The best part of Bob’s day was watching
 the sun rise and just being part of the farm family. Bob was not only a
 hard worker, he was man among men – kind, caring, respected. Throughout
 his life and to his last breath, Bob’s quiet spirit had a powerful 
impact on the lives he touched.&nbsp;

Bob is survived by his daughter Sandy Schaben her husband Jim and 
their children and grandchildren: Amy and Don Blaser (Macy, Kolby, and 
Lexi), Amanda and Mark Schwarz (Madison and Cameron), Aaron and Jenna 
Schaben (Madden and Linden); his son Duane Wagg and his daughter Tamara 
Perez and her husband Charlie (Aden, Alissa, and Adam); his daughter 
Anna Cooper and her husband Mark and their children (Samantha and Austin
 Cauthon, Alex and Rachel Cooper, and Eli Cooper); his daughter Sherri 
Willgohs and her husband Dan. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 
sister and brother, and two daughters Jeanne his infant daughter, and 
Judy Herbster.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022,&nbsp; at 11:00 a.m. at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home. A family graveside 
service will be held at a later date in Ellis, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to the Judith A. Herbster Foundation.
