Donald C. "Big Mo" Malin passed away Friday, December 16, 2022, at the Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Kansas, at the age of 84.  He was born on May 20, 1938, to Francis P. and Maxine (Colvin) Malin in Codell, Kansas.&nbsp;

Donald C. 'Papa Don' Maline

We are very sad to announce the passing of Jackie Jean Goetz on December 13, 2022 in Kingsland, TX where she moved her residence this past year to be with family.

Jackie was born to Leo and Bertha Dwinelle in Fairport, KS on May 30, 1936. She married Donald Adair Goetz on October 9, 1954. Don worked overseas in the oilfield. He and Jackie spent many years raising their children in England, Holland, Malaysia, Singapore, and Iran. Upon returning to the states, Don and Jackie settled in Hallettsville, TX in 1977 where they started their own oilfield vacuum trucking business, Goetz Service. Jackie enjoyed gardening and was a great bowler, card, and domino player with a strong competitive spirit. Her family enjoyed many years visiting at her home with some great cooking followed by cards and dominos. She loved country music and always had the radio tuned in to the local station. When you came to visit, that was the first thing you would hear playing in the garage. She was a kind and gentle person. A quiet soft spoken sweet woman with a great sense of humor that you couldn’t help, but love. Jackie always put her family first. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be truly missed.

Jackie was preceeded in death by her husband, Donald A. Goetz; son, Donald G. Goetz; son, David A. Goetz.

Jackie is survived by her daughter, Jaylene Franke (husband Melvin Perryman) of Cypress, TX; daughter, Janna Johnson (husband Craig Johnson) of Kingsland, TX; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

Per her wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice in her honor.

Jackie’s future and final resting place will be in Russell, Kansas.

 2022. He was born November 26, 1950, in Pratt, KS to Raymond and 
Maxine Lois Pence.

He worked as a painter for Tom Miller Painting for 30 plus years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers; Robert Ray Pence, and Tim Pence, and a sister; Sandy Wright.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 18 years, though they were 
together for 43 years; Marla J. Pence, his daughter, Christine “Chris” 
(John) Taddiken of Salina, his son; David (Pam) Albright of Ellis, and 
Tim Brown of Salina, a brother; Bill (Tammy) Pence of Alta Vista, 4 
sisters; Charlene (Jerry) Zelenka of Wilson, Vicki Frost of Sudek, 
Jackie (Henry) Martinez of Minneapolis, and Dawn Dearing of Ellsworth, 2
 grandsons; Justin Taddiken of KC, MO., and Dillon Taddiken and 
significant other; Macie Powell of Salina, 2 sister-in-laws; Sharon 
Pence and Marge Pence, and a brother-in-law Rusty Wright, plus numerous 
nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, from 5:00pm to 
7:00pm at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.

David “DJ” Joseph Dean Jr., 32, passed away December 12, 2022, in Osborne, KS.

David was born October 23, 1990, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Diane Dean Davis and David Dean Sr.

He worked at Tyson Foods in Lexington, NE for several years before working at Great Plains Manufacturing in Tipton, KS.

David’s
 greatest joy was his 3 boys.  In the summer, you could often see them 
at the playground or splash pad.  He enjoyed long walks, fishing, and 
was a fan of several sport teams.

David is survived by 
his wife Zandra Dean (married January 28th, 2015); 3 sons Matthew, Mark 
and Paul; Parents Diane and Paul Davis; David and Tina Dean Sr., Sister 
Danielle Barber and husband Ricky; Half Brother Cody Dean; 2 Step 
Sisters and 4 Step Brothers; Grandparents:  Gwedolyn Webster and Rodney 
Vierhile; Albert and Marguerite Dean; Aunts and Uncles:  Debbie and Ray 
Bryan, David Webster, Merriane Dean, Brenda Arvizu, Taylor and John 
Marsh; 7 Cousins; and&nbsp;&nbsp;7 Great Aunts and Uncles.

David 'DJ' Joseph Dean Jr.

Ivan R. Edsall, age 76 of Victoria, Kansas, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Brookdale Assisted Living Center of Salina.

He was born October 19, 1946, at Hays, Kansas, to Theron C. and Anna Barbara (Weber) Edsall. &nbsp;He married Kathleen Ann (Braun)-Spiess {his favorite fishing partner} on March 23, 1996, at Hays, Kansas. &nbsp;She preceded him in death on December 16, 2017.

He retired from Dreiling Oil of Victoria, Kansas, in 2018, as production foreman. &nbsp;He worked for Dreiling Oil for over 45 years, and prior to the oil division he worked on the Dreiling’s farm for ten years. &nbsp;Ivan grew up on the family farm North of Victoria, was a graduate of Victoria High School, and a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis.

Survivors include his stepchildren, Jason Spiess, Paradise, KS; Kelly Wellbrock and husband, Brett, Salina, KS; Melanie Dennis and husband, Travis, Salina, KS; his step grandchildren, Sophia,&nbsp;Gage, and&nbsp;Jace&nbsp;Spiess; &nbsp;Carson and Julia Wellbrock; James and&nbsp;Michael Dennis; and his four legged friend, Coco.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Anna;&nbsp;his wife, Kathy;&nbsp;his brothers, Frank and Daniel Edsall. &nbsp;

Barbara Ann Frizell, 97, died December 15, 2022, at Wesley Towers 
Hester Care Center. She was born June 13, 1925, in Augusta, KS, the 
daughter of Ralph and Louise (Meeke) Varner.

Barb had a wonderful childhood growing up in Augusta and Wichita.&nbsp; 
She was a graduate of Wichita East High School and graduated from the 
University of Kansas in 1947.

In 1953, Barb married Edward E. "Bud" Frizell, of Larned, KS, in Wichita.&nbsp; He died May 29, 2002.

She loved her life and friends in Hutchinson and was an active member
 of Junior League, PEO Chapter BL, Pi Beta Phi Sorority Alumni, and 
Grace Episcopal Church.

Barb is survived by:&nbsp; her sons, Edward E. ‘Trip’ (Allison) Frizell, 
Jeff (Karen) Frizell; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:&nbsp; her husband, Bud; parents; and sister, Mary Warwick.

Barbara Ann Frizell

Melba  Domoney, 96, passed away December 15, 2022.

She was born in  Oakley, Kansas, on May 31, 1926, the daughter of John and Mary (Dufton) Whiting.  Melba graduated from Downs High School and the University of Kansas.  She married John S. Domoney on June 13, 1948. They were blessed to become the proud parents of three sons: Duff, Darcy, and Dewey.  John &amp; Melba were co-owners of the family business, Domoney’s Furniture and Funeral Home for many years.  Melba worked at the State Bank of Downs and then devoted her time to being a full time wife and mother.  John and Melba celebrated 53 years of marriage before his death in 2001. They took over 30 trips to places such as Ireland, Alaska, Hawaii, as well as other parts of the United States and Europe.

She was very dedicated in attending her children’s and grandchildren’s school and sports activities.

Over the years, Melba diligently visited local nursing home residents, wrote letters and sent sympathy, birthday, and get well cards to many people until her vision became impaired. For many years, her daily walks included carrying a bag to pick up trash along her route.

Melba was a loyal and dedicated KU Jayhawk fan!

Melba was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, as well as a member of Quest Club, Senior Center, and enjoyed her bridge clubs.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; sister, Betty Eaton

Duff and wife, Myrna Domoney of Bixby, Oklahoma Darcy Domoney (Nancy Mathis) of Leawood, Kansas Dewey Domoney (Kim Davis)of Downs, Kansas 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Melba Domoney

Shelby Andrews, 83, died December 13, 2022, at Brookdale Senior Living
 Center in Dodge City. She was born on December 15, 1938, at Colorado 
Springs, Colorado, the daughter of Howard and Martina Betz. &nbsp;

She married Gerald Gene Schwien on October 12, 1957, in Ness City; he 
preceded her in death on November 14, 1961. She then married Carrol Neal 
McCain on June 5, 1965, in Ness City; he preceded her in death on 
December 6, 1994. She later married Don G. Andrews on October 23, 1997,&nbsp; in Branson, Missouri; he preceded her in death on July 11, 2017. Mrs. 
Andrews loved spending time with her family especially her 
grandchildren. She also loved to keep a very clean and tidy home. Mrs. 
Andrews always looked forward to a great day of shopping.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

She is survived by two sons Troy McCain and wife Sarah of Dodge City;
 Rory Schwien and wife Theresa of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived
 by her seven grandchildren Megan, Melanie, Tanner, McKenzie, Creighton,
 Cecilia and Sierra. Mrs. Andrews is also survived by four great 
grandchildren Zayne, Avery, Rhylie and Kaysone.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three husbands Gerald 
Gene Schwien, Carrol McCain and Don Andrews and one sister Shiela McBee.

Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday 
December 19, 2022, at 1:30 PM with Rev. John Stang presiding.&nbsp; Burial 
will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be 
held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Sunday, December 18, 2022, from 12:00 PM 
to 6:00 PM. Vigil service will be held 7:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2022,&nbsp; at Swaim Funeral Chapel.

preceded her in death on November 14, 1961. She then married Carrol Neal 
McCain on June 5, 1965, in Ness City; he preceded her in death on 
December 6, 1994. She later married Don G. Andrews on October 23, 1997,&nbsp; in Branson, Missouri; he preceded her in death on July 11, 2017. Mrs. 
Andrews loved spending time with her family especially her 
grandchildren. She also loved to keep a very clean and tidy home. Mrs. 
Andrews always looked forward to a great day of shopping.She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.She is survived by two sons Troy McCain and wife Sarah of Dodge City;
 Rory Schwien and wife Theresa of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived
 by her seven grandchildren Megan, Melanie, Tanner, McKenzie, Creighton,
 Cecilia and Sierra. Mrs. Andrews is also survived by four great

Cindy K. Angel, wife of the late Charles Angel passed away after a 
short illness on December 15, 2022, in Goodland, Kansas. Cindy was born 
on June 25, 1952, in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, to Calvin and Virginia

Amy Lynne Zwickle was born June 21, 1967, in Ellsworth, KS. The 
daughter of Wayne and Phyllis (Pacey) Zwickle, Amy was one of God's 
angels on earth. Whether it’s a person with Down syndrome being 
compared to an angel or angels being people with Down syndrome, angels 
are linked to Down syndrome like peanut butter is to jelly! Amy gained 
her Heavenly wings on December 2, 2022, at the age of 55 at Decatur 
Health in Oberlin, KS.

There were many things Amy 
loved. Jesus – she did Bible study on her own at least once a week but 
usually more. Singing – she sang at her Church (The United Church of 
Oberlin) several times and brought tears to the congregation because of 
her voice and the fact you could tell she meant what she was singing. 
Her favorite song to sing at Church was Chris Tomlin's “I Will Rise."&nbsp; She also was a country music fan. Although her dad was a Chief's fan, 
Amy chose the Dallas Cowboys mainly because she loved cheerleading and 
she loved to watch the girls try out for the squad. Amy pretty much 
loved everything about life oh, except liver and onions and soup!

Amy
 attended schools in Oberlin (OES), Atwood (Beamgard Learning Center, 
Atwood High School), Greeley, Colorado (Greeley West HS and she took a 
Hospitality Careers course at the University of Northern Colorado). Amy
 received her DCHS High School Diploma in 1989 through Beamgard Learning
 Center. She took part in the Special Olympics for many years and 
earned many awards in Cheerleading and bowling.

Amy
 was preceded in death by her dad: Wayne A. Zwickle; grandparents: 
Walter and Lora Zwickle and Leslie and Anita Pacey; aunts: Phyllis

Gary Gene DeBey was born on October 16, 1947, in Beloit, Kansas, the

Prairie Grove Cemetery in Cawker City. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM

Charles Newell Eberle was born on September 16, 1929, on a farm in 
Jewell County, Kansas, the son of Charlie Earl and Violet Gish Eberle. 
He died Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas 
at the age of 93.

He grew up around Glen Elder, and graduated from Glen Elder High 
School. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army from 
October 1950 to October 1952.

On February 28, 1952, he was united in marriage with Gayle Louise 
Moran. Four children were born to this union, Steven Charles, Dana 
Gayle, Kurtis Earl, and Kelly Rae. They were privileged to spend more 
than 25 years of marriage together when she died in December, 1977.

On August 2, 1980, he was united in marriage with Luella Maud 
Gilbert, and they spent more than 26 years of marriage together when she
 died in February, 2007.

Charles worked for Farmway COOP at the Glen Elder Elevator until 
January 1975 before moving to Norton to manage the COOP Elevator. He 
later managed the COOP Elevator in Natoma before moving back to the Glen
 Elder area in 1981, managing several elevators until his retirement. 
Following his retirement, he dedicated his time raising llamas, sheep, 
and goats on his farm in Glen Elder. He enjoyed taking his llamas to 
petting zoos, fairs, and parades. He also loved history, and was always 
known as the family historian after his Uncle Leo passed away.

He was an active member of the American Legion, Christian Church, 
Order of the Eastern Star, and the Masonic Lodge in Glen Elder.

In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Steven and Kurtis, and son-in-law, Kevin Lyon.

Charles is survived by his daughters, Dana Madden and husband 
Barry, and Kelly Lyon, and daughter-in-law, Lisa, all of Norton; 
step-daughters, Valerie Thrasher and husband Pat of Salina and Krystal 
Schwenn and husband Larry of Kensington; brother, Lowell Eberle of 
Lawrence; 8 grandchildren, Heath and Sherry Eberle of Little River, 
Heather LaRocque of Westmoreland, Aaron and Andrea Eberle of Glen Elder,
 Casey Madden of Norton, Clay Madden of Norton, Dakota Eberle of Garden 
City, Chelsey and Tom Huber of Norton, and Tosha and Kyle Kats of 
Norton; 2 step-grandsons; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 
great-great-grandchildren, and one on the way; and many relatives and 
friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, December 20, at the Glen 
Elder Christian Church. Visitation with family present will be from 5-7 
PM Monday, December 19 at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. Memorials may

Marius Rossouw, 54, passed away on December 14, 2022, at Russell 
Regional Hospital, Russell, Kan. He was born on May 25, 1968, in Cape 
Town, South Africa, to Frederick and Hester (Kühn). On December 21, 
2002, he married Cleo Jarvis in Cape Town, South Africa. She survives.

A resident of the area for the past fourteen years, Marius worked as a
 truck driver for Befort Trucking and previously did custom cutting. He 
was a hard worker and dedicated to working and raising his family.

Survivors include his wife of the home; five sons, Marnus (Justine) 
Van Meyeren of Cape Town, South Africa, and Charl (Dawn) Van Meyeren of 
Phoenix, Ariz.; Brandon Rossouw of Cape Town, South Africa, Clinton 
(Christie) Rossouw of Great Bend, and Ryan Rossouw of Great Bend; five 
grandchildren, Salem, Tegan, Eben, Chrismarie, and Karla; his parents of
 Cape Town, South Africa; a brother, Frederick (Tracey) Rossouw of 
Phillipsburg, Kan.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Funeral 
service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at Bryant 
Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Foster presiding.

Bradley Wayne Sjoholm, 41, of Quinter, Kansas, passed away on December 12, 2022, with&nbsp;immediate family at bedside after complications due to organ failure.

Brad was born on July 18, 1981, in Hoisington, Kansas, to John and Judy (Harris) Sjoholm.

Brad always had a smile on his face and was generous with his time, hard work, and his huge heart. He enjoyed the outdoors, tinkering with machinery, working with his hands, and being&nbsp;with friends and family. Brad had a tender heart for those he loved and a strong love for all&nbsp;animals.

He attended elementary school in Hoisington and completed his education in Hays, Kansas.

He continued on to get his associates degree in electrical technology in Beloit, Kansas. Brad resided in Ellis, Park, and finally in Quinter, Kansas.

Brad is survived by his parents of Hays, brother Kyle (Tricia) Sjoholm of St. Louis, MO; sister Kate (Lane) Hensley of McPherson, KS; Uncle Terry and Aunt Nancy Hopp, of Marquette, KS; and cousins: Jennifer (Curt) Isernhagen, St. Paul, MN; Brian (Kendra) Hopp, McPherson, KS, and Amanda (Josh) McMahan, McPherson, KS. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Aunt Suzi Gruber, and cousin Jeff Hopp.

Mike “Scov” Schauvliege, age 74, 
formerly of rural Walker, Kansas, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, 
at Via Christi Village in Hays. Mike was born December 1, 1948, in Dodge
 City, Kansas, to Donald Louis Schauvliege and Mildred “Mickey” (Bowie) 
Schauvliege Rupp.

Mike attended schools in Jetmore and Hays, Kansas, graduating from Hays High School in 1966 and he
 attended Fort Hays State University.

While working many different jobs in 
his lifetime, Mike was best known for his work in the oil fields over 
the last several decades, and his bumper sticker was a testament to 
that. “Oilfield Trash and Damn Proud of It!” Mike was an avid sportsman,
 belonging to Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever. He loved to hunt, 
fish and raise German Shorthairs. Mike always had a gun and fishing pole
 with him, should an opportunity present itself. Owning and riding his 
motorcycles was a true passion. Mike always had a story to tell anyone 
who would listen.

Mike is survived by a brother, Tim S. 
Rupp, Hays, Kansas; sisters, Jennifer Rupp and her husband Gus Hallin, 
Durango, Colorado and Vicki Runge, Hays, Kansas; many nieces, nephews, 
great nieces, great nephews; and his ex-wife, JoAnn Schauvliege.

He was Preceded in death by his mother;
 father; stepfather, Michael M. Rupp; a brother, Chuck Schauvliege; his 
grandparents, Mabell and Don Bowie, Irene and Louis Schauvliege; step 
grandparents, Andrew and Adeline Rupp, and Charles Greenstreet.

Fedailia “Phil” M. Johnston, 85, died Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at KU Medical Center, Kansas City.

She was born May 9, 1937, at Quinter, Kansas, the daughter of Anton 
Joseph and Christina (Kuntz) Dreher.&nbsp; She graduated from Quinter High 
School and Cosmetology School in Salina. She worked as a hairdresser in 
Pratt until her marriage to Billy “B.D.” Johnston at St. Michael 
Catholic Church in Collyer, Kansas, on May 20, 1957.&nbsp; She later worked at
 Dodge City High School, Hardee’s and the Kansas Soldier’s Home at Fort Dodge as a cook until retiring in July 1999.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Altar 
Society both in Dodge City.&nbsp; She was a devout woman of faith and a 
prayer warrior.

Survivors include: a son, Robert “Bob” Johnston and wife Cherise, 
Dodge City; 2 daughters, Janet Scheffe and husband Lawrence “Lonnie”, 
Kansas City, Missouri and Deanna Johnston, Dodge City; 2 brothers, Larry
 Dreher and wife Nita, Parkville, Missouri and Tim Dreher and wife 
Charlene, WaKeeney, Kansas; 5 grandchildren, Bryce Johnston and wife

Larry Jo Hullett, 68, died December 13, 2022, at his home in 
Hoisington, surrounded by his family.&nbsp; He was born January 8, 1954, in 
Larned, Kansas, the son of Ralph C. and Grace E. (Mornhinweg) Hullett.&nbsp; 
Larry graduated from Larned High School.

A resident of Hoisington since 1976, Larry worked in many trades. 
Always good with his hands, he enjoyed building homes for Marlett 
Manufacturing Homes, and he worked in the oil field as a driver on a 
pulling unit, and drilling wells for Shirer Well Service Inc.. Most 
recently he worked at Superior Essex.

On September 3, 1976, he married Ramona “Mona” Richardson in Larned, 
Kansas. They later divorced but remained good friends with Mona caring 
for him until his death.

He is survived by his three children; Ashley Hullett, Karra Hullett, 
and Brandon Hullett, all of the home; foster daughter, Sharon Fishgrab 
of Kansas City, Missouri; and a special niece, Shelby Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Kenneth, Harold, Clyde and Edward.

Per Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.

Leon Benjamin Karst, 95, Rush Center, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, 
December 14, 2022, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.

Leon was born February 10, 1927, &nbsp;to Benjamin “Ben” and Magdalena “Lena” (Dietz) Karst on the family farm near Galatia, Kansas.&nbsp;

He was baptized and later confirmed in the Christian faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Milberger, Kansas.

Leon attended public school at Galatia, Kansas.&nbsp; He attended high 
school for two years at Hoisington, Kansas, before his father needed him
 to help on the family farm during World War II.&nbsp; Later in life, he 
completed his GED.

Leon met Wanda Rose Hemken during a Luther League convention in Estes
 Park, Colorado, and they were united in marriage on June 11, 1950, at 
Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center, Kansas.&nbsp; She preceded him in death 
August 15, 2021.

For the first seven years, Leon and Wanda made their home on the 
Karst family farm near Galatia, Kansas, &nbsp;before moving to the Hemken 
family farm, Wanda’s birthplace, near Rush Center, Kansas, in 1957.&nbsp; 
They lived there until 2019 when they became residents of Locust Grove 
Village, La Crosse, Kansas.

Leon and Wanda were blessed with five children:&nbsp; Jeannine, David, 
Stephen, Richard and Charles.&nbsp; Their marriage spanned an amazing 71 
years.

He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Rush Center, Kansas, where 
he taught Sunday School and served the church in various other 
capacities.&nbsp; Leon served as Soil Conservation supervisor for 15 years, 
and was a member of the Rush Center Lions Club until it disbanded.

Survivors include:&nbsp; one daughter, Jeannine Moore and husband, Tom, of
 Pueblo, Colorado; three sons, David Karst and his wife, Kelli, of Fort 
Collins, Colorado, Richard Karst and his wife, Rhonda, of Rush Center, 
Kansas, and Charles Karst of Claremore, Oklahoma; five granddaughters, 
Katherine (Karst) Storie and husband, Douglas Jr., Ashlyn Karst, Rayna 
Karst, Kelsey Moore and Jordyn Karst; five grandsons, Brandon Yost, 
William Karst, Nathaniel Karst and wife, Andrea, Caleb Karst and Collin 
Karst; and great grandchildren, Weiland Yost, Wallace Yost, Elliot Karst
 and Blakely Karst.

Leon was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Stephen
 Joel Karst; one daughter in law, Sharon (Wells) Karst; two brothers,

Leon Benjamin Karst

Nancy Ann (Pantlik) Davis, of Plainville, Kansas, earned her 
angel wings at the age of 87 on December 13, 2022, surrounded by her 
loving family. She was born on August 3, 1935, in Prague, OK, to Charlie
 and Murrel (Roller) Pantlik. On December 9, 1954, Nancy married the 
love of her life, Russell Davis, in Blackwell, OK. Nancy and Russell 
welcomed 2 daughters to their family, Wendy Hageman and Cindy Hake. 

The 
family moved from Oklahoma to Kansas to Texas, and finally to Plainville
 in 1966 where Nancy and Russell lived the rest of their lives. She was a
 loving wife and mother and spent many happy hours with her 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nancy was an 
Avon lady for several years bringing fun items and smiles to her 
customers and friends. She worked as a para and the “lunchroom lady” at 
the Plainville Grade School for many years. In her retirement years, 
Nancy worked at the funeral home sharing her heart with friends and 
family during their times of sadness. She also served on the Library 
Board.

Nancy is survived by her daughters: Wendy &amp; 
Don Hageman, McCook, NE and Cindy Hake, Colby, KS; grandchildren: Brian 
&amp; JoAnn Hageman, Omaha, NE, Brady &amp; Tabitha Hageman, Yukon, OK,

Dorothy Boulware, 78, Overland Park, KS passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospice House.

Dorothy was born February 2, 1944, to Elmer and Mary Schmidt in Hays,
 Kansas. She graduated from Marion High School in Hays in 
1962. She lived in Oakley, Kansas, for many years where she owned and 
operated Oakley Cleaners until her and Kenneth moved to Overland Park 18
 years ago.&nbsp; She then went to work for Target in Mission and retired 
after 15 years of service.&nbsp;&nbsp; 

Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her 
family, cross stitching, crocheting, sewing, and loved doing art 
projects including painting.&nbsp; She was a member of Queen of the Holy 
Rosary Church in Overland Park.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters:&nbsp; 
Phyllis Pentecost and Barbara Percer.&nbsp; She is survived by her husband of
 53 years, Kenneth; three sons:&nbsp; Tom (Joanna), David and Jerrod;&nbsp; six, 
grandchildren:&nbsp; Rylee Boulware, Tyler Boulware, Eli Boulware, Colton 
Boulware, Mei Boulware, Corinne Boulware.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

 </figure>Dorothy Boulware, 78, Overland Park, KS passed away Monday, December 12, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospice House.Dorothy was born February 2, 1944, to Elmer and Mary Schmidt in Hays,
 Kansas. She graduated from Marion High School in Hays in 
1962. She lived in Oakley, Kansas, for many years where she owned and 
operated Oakley Cleaners until her and Kenneth moved to Overland Park 18
 years ago.&nbsp; She then went to work for Target in Mission and retired 
after 15 years of service.&nbsp;&nbsp; Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her 
family, cross stitching, crocheting, sewing, and loved doing art 
projects including painting.&nbsp; She was a member of Queen of the Holy 
Rosary Church in Overland Park.&nbsp;&nbsp;Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters:&nbsp; 
Phyllis Pentecost and Barbara Percer.&nbsp; She is survived by her husband of
 53 years, Kenneth; three sons:&nbsp; Tom (Joanna), David and Jerrod;&nbsp; six, 
grandchildren:&nbsp; Rylee Boulware, Tyler Boulware, Eli Boulware, Colton 
Boulware, Mei Boulware, Corinne Boulware.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday at the Overland Park Funeral 
Chapel.&nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am Saturday at Queen of the

Dorothy C. Boulware

Ramona Kramer, age 70, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at
 the St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nevada. She was born on 
May 5, 1952, to James Patrick and Marlyn Cook Jefferies in Sidney, 
Montana. 

She dedicated her life to her home and her passions. She raised
 three children and was a member of the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of 
Fame, the American Herford Association and the Kansas Livestock 
Association. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in
 Leoti, Kansas. She was a member of the community since moving from 
Montana in 1984.

On November 23, 1974, Ramona married Ronald Kramer in Felton, Minnesota. He survives.

Survivors include her husband, her children, Cody Jeff &amp; Marci 
Kramer of Garden City, Kansas, Kelly &amp; Lenny Pecha of Meno, 
Oklahoma, Casey Kramer &amp; his fiancé Casey Klauck of Libertyville, 
Illinois, her grandson Joel Ray Pecha, granddaughter Marlyn Pecha, three
 sisters Rita Myers of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Roxanne Burnside of 
Fargo, North Dakota, Roberta Nistler of Fargo, North Dakota, and 
numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials in Lieu of flowers may be given to the North Dakota Cowboy 
Hall of Fame in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home, PO Box 161, Leoti, 
Kansas, 67861.
