Strategic Doing is an engaging process that actively helps residents implement their ideas for community improvement projects. Current working groups who attend will report on their progress and continue work to move their projects forward. There are some very exciting projects being created and others are on-going and always looking for interested individuals.

New ideas and working groups are also encouraged to attend and start working through the Strategic Doing process.

The Rooks County meeting will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, at the RCH Education Center, Highway 183 and Washington Street in Plainville.

Dinner will be served at each location. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. Please RSVP with your name and county to heartland@gscf.org or contact Kelli Hansen at 785-737-3554, Kathy Ramsey at 785-737-3550 or Sally Lowry at 425-8228.

The Russell County Association of Churches will host the 2020 Community Lenten Luncheon Series each Wednesday, March 4 through April 8. The theme for this year’s Luncheons is “Faith vs. Fear."

&nbsp;Lenten Luncheons will begin as 12:10 p.m. and conclude no later than 12:50 p.m. 

Host churches for the 2020 Lenten Lunches are Otterbein United Methodist Church (March 4, St. Mary, Queen of Angels (March 11, Trinity United Methodist Church (March 18, St. John Lutheran Church (March 25, and United Emmanuel in Milberger (April 1). First Congregational Church will host the traditional Men’s Lenten Luncheon on Wednesday, March 8.  

The Community Good Friday Service will be held at Otterbein United Methodist Church on Friday, April 10 beginning at 12:10 p.m.

This year's upcoming benefit show, Dancing Together For DSNWK will be held on April 26 at 3 p.m. at Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center on the Fort Hays State University campus. 

Our mission is to raise funds through community sponsorship and a live raffle during the fourth annual “Dancing Together For DSNWK” benefit show. I

ndividuals from Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas have teamed up with Styles Dance Centre and will be showcased, fostering a sense of involvement, inclusion, confidence, and empowerment for all participants and attendees. 

All proceeds will go to Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas. 

Tickets can be purchased at Styles Dance Centre, the DSNWK Hall Street office, and also at the door the night of the show.&nbsp;

The Youth Art Month exhibit  at the Ellsworth Area Art Center will run until March 27.

It features all of the Ellsworth County Schools showing the students'&nbsp;artwork, plus art from the preschoolers.

The center is open 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
