Hays Public Library
The Heartland Community Foundation recently awarded over $6,800 to the Hays Public Library to assist with the project to remodel the Kansas Room.
The library’s grant request specifically targeted funds to purchase new tables for the Kansas Room. The update of furniture, flooring, lighting, and layout will improve the Kansas Room for presentations, group gatherings and research. The Kansas Room project is part of a larger remodel of the library’s basement.
The Hays Public Library Foundation is in the process of raising $150,000 to cover the cost of the Kansas Room portion of the basement remodel.
