Ellis Co. restaurant and lodging inspections 8/10 ⁠– 8/16

Last week's inspection results from the Kansas Department of Agriculture:

Arby's - Aug. 11 - 3501 Vine - Hays

A routine inspection found three violations.

  1. On the automatic slicer there was a log of roast beef at the temperature of 130 F. All other hot holding temperatures are in compliance.
  1. Next to the drive-thru window there is a small ice bath with a container of whip topping being stored. The temperature of the whip topping was 55 F.  All other cold holding temperatures are in compliance. 
  1. On the storage rack in the prep room, there were 10 of 30 metal pans that had sticker residue present along the outside of the pan. These pans were being stacked inside one another.

Casey's General Store - Aug. 11 - 1600 27th. - Hays

A routine inspection found one violation.

  1. In the refrigerated prep-table, there was an opened container of sliced ham and an opened container of Fiesta Feta Spread that was dated for eight days and not seven days.

I-C 66 - Aug. 11 - 3701 Vine - Hays

A routine inspection found one violation.

  1. In the back storage area, there were two bottles of glass cleaner and a bottle of liquid hand soap that was being stored on a wooden shelf directly above a case of ready to eat candy. No evidence of leaking was observed.
