The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing work on 6 miles of U.S. 283 in Norton County the week of July 27.

The project will consist of a 2-inch mill and inlay beginning at the Graham County line and ending at the west K-9 junction. Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers and a pilot car during daylight hours, and minor delays should be expected.

KDOT anticipates work to be completed by the end of August, weather permitting.

Venture Corporation of Great Bend is the primary contractor for the $1.3 million project. For more information, contact KDOT area construction engineer Jim Riener at 785-543-2163 or[email protected].
