Rex E. Rowh

Rex E. Rowh, 74, died Monday, December 21, 2020 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.

He was born November 6, 1946 in Norton Kansas, the son of Donald and Dorothy (Vanover) Rowh.  He was a 1965 graduate of Jennings High School, attended Ft. Hays State University and on June 10, 1967 he married Ann Votapka at Jennings, Kansas and this year they celebrated their 53rd anniversary.  They moved to Cimarron from Clayton, Kansas over 50 years ago.  Rex worked for Sid Warner for over 20 years, Tim Dewey for 20 years and Cimarron Feeders until retiring in 2017.

He was a member of Pawnee Acer Community Building, Kalvesta and was an active volunteer with the Gray County Fair. Rex was known as a hard worker who loved his children, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their school sports activities. Rex’s favorite past time was fishing with his many friends. Rex was actively involved in the cattle operation of Rowh Angus Ranch, Jennings KS.

Survivors include: their 3 children, Jodi Rowh Inguanza and husband Raymond, Cimarron, Kip Rowh and companion Stacy Hilbrich, Bay City, Texas and Jason Rowh, Jennings, Kansas; his brother, Wayne Rowh and wife, Carol, Morganville Kansas; 2 sisters, Sheryl Goodman, Scott City and Shirley Smith and husband Alan, Bever City Nebraska; 7 grandchildren, Samantha Inguanza and fiancé, Derek Karst, Meagan Inguanza, Christopher Inguanza, Timothy Rowh and wife Sarah, Luke Rowh, Drake Rowh and fiancé Breanna Blackheart, her two children Brixtyn and Bristal and Brecken Rowh; and 3 great grandchildren, Riley Rowh, Jackson Rowh and Madison Rowh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Lynn Goodman.  His wife, Ann, passed away the day after Rex on December 22, 2020.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 am Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Gray County Fair Grounds Rec Building, Cimarron, with Jim Rowh officiating.  Burial will be at 10:00 am Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the Jennings Cemetery, Jennings, Kansas.
