Phillipsburg resident Jimmy “Jim” Shields, passed away Oct. 24, 2021, in Wichita, KS at the age of 64. He was born Dec. 11, 1956, in Phillipsburg.
Survivors include his wife Kim of the home; his son Derek of Phillipsburg; daughters, Lacie Shields & Tia Goscha of Phillipsburg & Trista McGuire of Hays; his mother & stepfather, LuJuana & Robert Baker of Garden City; brother, Jeff Schweitzer of Phillipsburg; sisters, Cindy Shields of Garden City, Julie Smith of Salina & Judy Heiman of McPherson & 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 2:00 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Blake Stanwood officiating. The service will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Phillpsburg.
Visitation will be from noon to 9:00 Sunday & 9:00 to 9:00 Monday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or skin cancer awareness.
