Larned – William G. Woods, 78, passed away June 14, 2024 at Integris Health Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was born December 22, 1945 in Dallas, Texas, the son of William O. and Lorraine Ann Ebertowski Woods.
Moving from Blossom, Texas in 1974, he was a longtime area resident. He was of the Christian faith and worked as a hay broker. He was a member of the Boiler Makers and enjoyed fishing, flying, hunting, and attending all of his grandkids sporting events. He was a hard worker, always supporting his kids and grandkids.
He married Sandra Sugg and to this union were four children: Dea (Mark) Gardner, Colorado, Laura Hall, Texas, William C. Woods, Larned, and Shannon Campbell-Coyel, Texas. They later divorced.
He married Sharla P. Johnson on November 3, 1977 at Larned and gained two additional children: Paulette (Kevyn) Soupiset, Great Bend and Roy (Jessie) Pleasant, Larned.
Survivors include: wife, Sharla, Larned and their children; three brothers, James (Janice) Woods, Tennessee, David (Debra) Woods, Larned, John Woods, Larned; sister, Carolyn (Ty) Teegerstrom, Colorado; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Daniel Woods.
Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Larned Cemetery, Larned, with Ryan Webster presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned.
