🏐 Tigers fall to No. 11 Lopers

HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State volleyball team rallied to force a fourth set before falling to No. 11 Nebraska-Kearney on Thursday (April 1), 3-1. The Tigers are now 3-6 this spring while the Lopers are 11-2 in 2021.

The teams traded the lead for much of the first set before UNK pulled away late, winning 25-20. The Lopers took care of business again in the second set, winning 25-16.

Fort Hays State fought back to stay alive with a 25-21 win in the third set. The Lopers led by as many as six midway through the set, 15-9, before the Tigers went on a 9-1 run to race in front, 18-16. Fort Hays State held on to win thanks to multiple big kills from Delaney Humm. The Lopers went on to finish things off with a 25-15 win in the fourth set.

The Tigers will play at home for the final time this spring on Friday (April 2) when they host Washburn beginning at 5 p.m.
