ELLSWORTH COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 10:30a.m. Monday in Ellsworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 GMC Denali driven by Rosemary Nuss, 73, Dorrance, stopped on the westbound outside shoulder of Interstate 70 near the Kansas 156 exit. The driver attempted to make a U-turn and and struck a westbound 2008 Chevy Silverado driven by Dyllon Knox, 34, Wichita, as it drove past. After impact the pickup overturned and came to rest in the center median.
The KHP reported Nuss had a serious injury but did not report where she was transported and whether Knox was injured. A passenger in the Silverado and a passenger in the Denali were not injured. All four were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
