ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. - Hays High qualified seven wrestlers for the 5A State Wrestling tournament held in Park City at Hartman Arena. The state meet will feature both the boys and girls on each of the three days February 22nd through 24th.

Seven Hays girls qualified last week for the 6-5A State tournament.

Defending state champion senior Harley Zimmerman was the Indians' lone finalist. He won by fall in the championship of 144 pounds to remain undefeated this year at 38-0. He won three of his four matches by pin.

The top eight qualified from each of the two 5A regional tournaments.

Senior Elijah McCullough and sophomore Jonathan Rigler each placed 4th. Junior Dalton Meyers finished in 5th. Senior Tacoma Augustine was sixth, senior Will Linenberger seventh and freshman Camden Luck eighth.
