SPARK grant application process opens for Kan. movie theaters

TOPEKA — As a member of the SPARK (Strengthening People and Revitalizing Kansas) Steering Committee and member of the state Finance Council for Kansas, I would like to announce that the grant application process for movie theaters across the state of Kansas is now available.

The state of Kansas approved SPARK grant funding in the amount of $10,000 per screen to theater businesses impacted by COVID-19 that generate 50 percent of their revenue from showing movies and related products, such as concessions.  

Please complete the form below to confirm your presence as a movie theater in the state of Kansas and identify the number of screens that you operate.  This intake form must be completed no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday. Payments will be issued by no later than Dec. 30.
