ROOKS COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Monday in Rooks County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Norman Erickson, 88, Phillipsburg was northbound on U.S. 183 three miles south of Kansas 18.
The driver attempted to pass another vehicle, cut back into the northbound lane and struck the trailer pulled by a northbound 2018 Dodge Ram pickup and driven by Korby R. Effland, 37, White City, who slowed down to turn eastbound on AA Road.
EMS transported Erickson to the hospital in Plainvile. Effland was not injured. Erickson was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
