Marian Gladys Fraker

Marian Gladys Fraker, 94, passed away December 17, 2020, in Oberlin, KS.

She was born April 9, 1926, to Ernest and Grace (Waldo) Norton. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1945. After graduating, she worked in Oberlin as County Treasurer, secretary to Art Dowling, accountant with Kennedy and Coe and bookkeeper at Oberlin Livestock and Reserve Savings.

On June 24, 1951, Marian married Robert Fraker and they made their home in Oberlin. They had three sons. She also did the bookkeeping for Oberlin Flying Service, which she and her husband operated. Marian was a member of the Oberlin United Methodist Church where she was a church trustee. She was also a member of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Worthy Matron, a book study group and a community club where she was President.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Ella; brothers, Kenneth and Harold; grandson, Brett and granddaughter, Darcie. She is survived by her sons, Phil, Mark, and Steve (Kathy), grandchildren, Melissa (Kris), Rayanne (Gavin), Katie, Aaron, Kristie (Adam), Isaiah, Cody; daughters-in-law, Pam and Cathy, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin. Burial will follow at Oberlin Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-7:00 pm, family will receive guests from 5-7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 also at the funeral home. Masks are encouraged.
