Rosina Brungardt Rohr, 95, died on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the Ranch
House in Garden City. She was born on October 7, 1924 at Schoenchen the
daughter of Joe & Philomena (Klaus) Dreher. She married Bernard
“Bennie” Brungardt on September 10, 1946 at Garden City. He died on
December 23, 1978. She later married Gilbert “Bert” Rohr on May 11,
1985 at Hays. He died on January 9, 2013.
Rosina moved to Garden City when she was 18 to work in her relatives
café and cleaned homes and apartments. She then worked at several
downtown business’s including Ben Franklin and Woolworths before going
to work at Dillon’s as a clerk. She was a member of St Mary Catholic
Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed dancing and music.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, both Husbands, 6 Brothers and 5
Sisters.
She is survived by her 5 Sons- Jerry & Jeanette Brungardt, Ernest
& Robin Brungardt, Glen & Evanna Brungardt, Harvey & Sherri
Brungardt and Larry & Mendi Brungardt all of Garden City,
Step-Children- Lloyd Rohr of Lindsborg, Brenda Rohr and Linda Cardinal
both of Wichita, Brother- Irvin Dreher of Hays, Sister- Lillin Van
Hooser of Andover, 17 Grandchildren, 39 Great-Grandchildren and 11
Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Vigil Service will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at St Mary Catholic Church
with Rev Jacob Schneider as Celebrant. Burial will be at Sunset
Memorial Gardens in Garden City. Friends may call from 9:00 AM to 8:00
PM Tuesday at Garnand Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St Mary
Catholic Church in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
